Hyper-Speed Scrolling and Calendar View for Shared Media
• Quickly scroll through Shared Media by dragging the new date bar.
• Pinch to zoom in and out for more or fewer photos in each row.
• View Shared Media as a calendar by tapping (⋯) or on the new date bar.
• Filter media by photos only, videos only, or both from the (⋯) menu.
• To see Shared Media, simply tap the header at the top of your screen in any chat and scroll down.

Join Requests for Groups and Channels
• Create special invite links that require admins to approve users before they become members.
• Admins can view the applicants’ profiles and bios by tapping the Join Requests bar at the top of the chat.
• Add internal labels to your chat's Invite Links to keep them organized.

With v8.2 Update Telegram Android changed cache directory from /storage/Telegram to /storage/Android/data/org.telegram.messenger/

You might experience that your old cache files are not shown in Telegram after this update due to this change

Many users have suggested introducing the ability to disable official advertisements in Telegram channels.

We have already started work on this new feature and look forward to launching it this month. It can be issued in the form of a low-cost subscription, which will allow users to directly financially support the development of Telegram.

Some channel creators would also like to "turn off" advertisements in their channels. At the moment, we are calculating the economic conditions for this option. Advertisers will soon be able to place an "invisible" ad on any channel that - assuming there is sufficient cost per impression - will result in no ads on that channel.

We will continue to work on features that will allow Telegram to become a break-even project. The interests of users and content authors will remain our priority in this process.

Groups and Channels got an option to restrict forwarding of the messages.

Clients will not allow to copy/forward/save the messages
