I have had a fruitful engagement with Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta when I paid him a courtesy call at his Gatundu home where we discussed national and regional issues.

After #TaitaTaveta was declared a pest 🪳🦟🪳 free ZONE, the Government started establishing a Livestock Reproduction Centre at BACHUMA - VOI SUB COUNTY.
KASONGO as DP then, saw the opportunity and immediately established his own Livestock Reproduction Farm in Mata Ward - TAVETA SUB COUNTY, hence BACHUMA project stalled!
This is the same man we expect to revive the stalled BACHUMA LIVESTOCK REPRODUCTION CENTRE! ... 🥱🥱🥱

HOW IS KENYA FINANCING UNIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE?
The government has taken major steps in reforming the health system. Through the five-year “Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda” (commonly known as BETA), the government has committed to delivering a universal health coverage (UHC) system built on three pillars:
Publicly financed primary health care (through a Primary Health Care Fund), universal health insurance (also known as social health insurance), and a publicly financed national fund to cover costs for chronic, critical, and emergency illness and injury that are not covered by social health insurance (through the Emergency, Chronic, and Critical Illness (ECCI) Fund)

This comes days after President William Samoei Ruto visited the area and promised that the road will be done.
The area leaders, including the area MP Hon Hon. John Bwire - Taveta Constituency. thanked and congratulated the president for the good gesture. All in vain.
This adds to the president's long list of #ChemiChemiZaAhadi in #TaitaTaveta County ...
So far none of his promises, since 2013 has been fully implement in the County.
