很多都有同感，尤其是关于文档的部分。参加工作以前我也过分看重文档的重要性，后来才意识到维护不过时的文档的成本是很高的，self-documenting code 和 tests as documentation 更为重要。

十几岁的时候，每次跟年长的人争执不下，我总是很笃定地相信世界终究是属于我们年轻人的，因为年长的人总会先于我们死去。而现在的自己已经不是最年轻的一代了，面对「年轻人」中间那些在我看来非常危险的理念时，再也无法用同样的理由来说服自己是正确的。为此我感到恐惧。这也是 quarter life crisis 的一种表现形式吧。

Google 的很多产品都给人一种过度 engineered 的感觉，Photos 和 Drive 之间的照片同步就是一个很典型的例子。即使是作为工程师的我也很难完全掌握同步的规则，更不要说普通用户了。To C 的产品绝不应该给用户太多的认知负担。
