According to two sources familiar with the matter, Trump confronted Hegseth, saying he had been assured that "the ammunition problem had already been resolved (which is a lie)."

The Syrian Ministry of Finance has fired atleast 120 employees from the ministry and its affiliate banks between march and June 2026, today it announced that it has suspended 34 employees and refer them for investigation for suspicion of corruption.

The decision includes 24 employees from the finance departments in Damascus, Hama, and Aleppo, as well as 10 employees from the Real Estate Bank.

The Syrian government has adopted an aggressive zero-tolerance-policy.

Saudi-backed Yemeni Army:

17 soldiers and officers were killed, and others were injured in an attack by the Houthi militias using ballistic missiles and suicide drones.

Unusual large military movements by the remnants of the SDF militia were observed since around 8 pm in the Al-Nashwa Al-Gharbia neighborhood of Hasakah city.

The vehicles of the Hummer and pickup truck type, carrying military personnel, were seen moving in batches towards the western direction.

The destination and reasons for these movements are currently unknown.
