Several additional internal security checkpoints will be established in the city of Hasakah.

With the SDF no longer operating as a unified force, Hasakah remains in a security transition and vacuum, with former SDF remnants and Kurdish youth elements still operating independently in some areas.

The process had stalled for months but has begun accelerating in recent weeks following growing popular demands for stronger government control.

This phase is also crucial for demining, clearing rubble, restarting the local economy, and rehabilitating Hasakah’s oil fields, which will boost both the governorate’s economy and Syria’s wider economic recovery.
