Footage of the destruction of an Israeli air defence installation in Tel Aviv has appeared online

Unfortunately for the residents of the capital of Israel, the Ukrainian example of placing air defence systems in urban areas has proven contagious.

❗️🇮🇱/🇮🇷/🇺🇸 Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, per NBC news:

'We have reached the conclusion that American 'diplomacy' was nothing more than a cover for Israel's evil scheme.

If the United States wants to even hope of resuming diplomacy with Iran, it must first order Israel to cease its attacks.'

– Iran will likely recover from the strikes launched by Israel.

– Iran has begun to recover in terms of air defenses, and Israel is monitoring attempts to restore these capabilities.

- Iran has effective surveillance systems and has resumed launching anti-aircraft missiles.

Markets on edge as US weighs joining Israel’s war on Iran

Global investors are bracing for economic fallout as tensions escalate between Israel and Iran, with Washington considering direct military involvement.

Oil prices have jumped nearly 18 percent since 10 June, reaching a five-month high, while analysts warn that a deeper US role could drive prices toward $130 a barrel—spiking inflation and derailing rate cut prospects.

Equities have so far remained steady, but analysts caution that direct US action could trigger selloffs and renewed volatility. A full disruption of Iranian oil supply or closure of the Strait of Hormuz could bring broader economic shock.

The White House says a decision from President Donald Trump is expected within two weeks.

🇵🇸The Jewish supremacy at the heart of the Zionist project | Mondoweiss

Ideas of Jewish supremacy have been central to the Zionist movement from its beginning. Just as we call out white supremacy in the United States, we must call out #Jewish supremacy in occupied Palestine.

For the past 20 months of #genocide, the Israeli military has regularly carved the Star of David into Palestinian soil, spray painted them onto walls and buildings like on Jenin’s Freedom Theater and the Qatari Consulate, drawn them onto children’s books and Islamic texts, shaved them onto the heads of Palestinian political prisoners, and emblazoned them across military equipment. Several recently released Palestinian political prisoners were forced to wear shirts with the Star of David on their chests. In a November 2024 Mondoweiss essay, Anna Lipman wrote that she stopped wearing her #StarOfDavid necklace because “it has become a symbol of supremacy and fascism.”

🇮🇷Why Israel’s Regime Change War on Iran Could Trigger Its Own Demise - Analysis | Palestine Chronicle

At the time, I spoke to four military analysts, three of whom were formerly part of the US military, all of them gave estimates that Iran was going to take between 2 to 5 days to recover from the initial blow, as a conservative estimate.

Shockingly, the Iranians managed to not only replace their slain leaders and get their air defences back online, but also launch a devastating missile attack on Tel Aviv, all within 15 hours.

❗️Mass protests in London call on the UK Government to stop arming Israel. Among the slogans spotted are "End the Genocide," and "Hands Off Iran."
AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL UK: "🚨

BREAKING: "We’re deeply concerned at the use of counter terrorism powers to target protest groups.

This is the latest in a succession of measures taken by the UK government to clamp down on protest in the UK.

Terrorism powers should never have been used to aggravate criminal charges against Palestine Action activists and they certainly shouldn't be used to ban them."

The UK Ministry of Defence “carefully” decided to train Israeli military personnel during a genocide after consideration on a “case-by-case” basis, the government says.

RAF BRIZE NORTON ARE COMPLICIT IN TERRORISM, NOT PALESTINE ACTION:

"The Israeli Air Force (IAF) operated at least three transport flights from RAF Brize Norton in October and November last year, Declassified has found.

Two of the flights – on 13 October and 28 November – went to the US Air Force base at Dover in Delaware. The third arrived from Dover on 20 November and flew out the same day to Israel’s main air force station at Nevatim in southern Israel.

It is not known from where the first two flights originated or how long the Israeli aircraft had been in the UK.

There are suspicions that these flights were carrying US arms. Israeli aircraft packed with “advanced weaponry” have been reported as regularly flying from Dover to Nevatim since Israel began iton of Gaza.

Why have Israeli military aircraft been landing at a UK air base?

Israel’s air force recently undertook three flights from the Royal Air Force’s main base in Oxfordshire. Were they carrying arms?

Protests have taken place at the Delaware base against its involvement in genocide and demanding an end to weapons transfers to Israel.

The Israeli planes were Boeing 707 transport aircraft, known for carrying freight at long distances.

Brize Norton is the RAF’s main operating base. The RAF says that “with its mixed fleet of aircraft, RAF Brize Norton provides rapid global mobility in support of UK overseas operations and exercises”.

State secrecy

This is not the first time that Israeli military aircraft have recently landed in the UK. In February 2024, the government admitted that nine IAF aircraft had taken off and landed from British territory since the Hamas attacks of 7 October 2023.

But the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has refused to tell parliament what the Israeli aircraft were carrying.

Then defence minister James Heappey said: “For operational security reasons and as a matter of policy, the MOD does not offer comment or information relating to foreign nations’ military aircraft movements or operations”.

This level of state secrecy highlights the sensitivity of the issue. UK ministers are potentially liable for prosecution by international courts for complicity in Israel’s genocide.

Chris Doyle, director of the Council for Arab-British Understanding, told Declassified: “The UK continues to treat Israel as a strategic ally even as it engages in genocide and massive violations of international law.

“The total secrecy surrounding these flights just highlights that the government knows the levels of legitimate outrage that would break out if this was more widely known. A legal case for complicity with Israeli war crimes is getting stronger by the day.”

Scottish National Party MP Chris Law, who represents Dundee Central, told Declassified: “The Ministry of Defence continues to have serious questions to answer around the extent of their involvement in Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.

“These latest revelations, on Israeli transport flights landing in UK military bases, will only further fuel concerns that the MoD and the wider UK government have been actively complicit in what many now consider to have been a genocide in Gaza."
