YouTube vowed to halt comments on videos with young kids. It hasn't
An outcry about pedophilia made YouTube promise it would shut off comments on videos with kids age 13 and younger. Six months later, they're still easy to find.
Youtube is about to embark on its most significant changes to kids videos yet. Google's massive online video site is re-engineering how it treats clips for children following last week's record $170 million penalty for violating kids' data privacy: YouTube pledged to disable comments, notifications and personalized ads on all videos directed at children. And its machine learning will police YouTube's sprawling catalog to keep kids videos in line, the company said.

Most Android flashlight apps request an absurd number of permissions
Two Android flashlight apps, in particular, are requesting 77 permissions... for some reason.
Hundreds of Android flashlight apps are requesting a large number of permissions on every install, and in the vast majority of cases, without providing the needed functionality in return.
Avast Security Evangelist Luis Corrons said he tested all the Android flashlight apps that were ever uploaded on the Play Store. In total, he found 937 apps, seven of which were downright malicious.
