Scooter Knowledge Base
https://github.com/firebl0od/Scooter_Knowledge/tree/main
This repository collects and organizes information about electric scooter setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The primary source material is a large Telegram conversation exported from the "VESC help" group https://t.me/VescHelpGroup. The goal of the project is to extract practical knowledge from the chat logs and document it in a structured, reusable format.
VESC is short for Vedder Electronic Speed Controller. It is an open-source, open-hardware motor speed controller that allows for advanced customization via software (such as the VESC Tool app). It is commonly used in electric scooters, skateboards, electric bicycles, and robotics projects to provide precise control, regenerative braking, and sensorless operation, overcoming the limitations of standard closed controllers.
The knowledge/processed/themes/ directory contains 72 professionally formatted documents covering:
28 brand dossiers covering controllers, motors, and BMS systems from manufacturers like Spintend, Flipsky, Makerbase, 3Shul, and more
44 comprehensive guides including:
VESC tuning and parameter optimization
Battery pack design and BMS integration
Motor cooling and thermal management
Conversion guides for popular scooter models (Ninebot, Xiaomi, etc.)
Brake upgrades and maintenance
Field weakening and high-voltage setups
Diagnostic tools and troubleshooting
All documents use a consistent, readable format with:
Clean footnote citations linking back to source material
Well-organized sections with proper headings
Tables and checklists for quick reference
Preserved technical accuracy from the original discussions

Debian Linux has elected a new (DEI focused) Debian Project Leader.
Sruthi Chandran beat her only opponent (the aptly named "None of the above") by a vote of 289 to 50.
Sruthi Chandran's platform centered on "Diversity" and her desire to see fewer "(cis)male" people involved in the Debian project.
Only 33% of eligible Debian Developers chose to vote in this election. And 50 of those voted for "None of the above".

Akira ransomware gang used an unsecured webcam to bypass EDR - DataBreaches.Net
Consider the scenario in which an entire network becomes encrypted due to an unpatched device. This situation, mirrors the tactics employed by the Akira ransomware group to circumvent advanced security measures.
While Endpoint Detection and Response (#EDR) systems successfully blocked the initial attack, the threat actors subsequently identified an IP webcam configured with default credentials. Given the inability to install security agents on Internet of Things (IoT) devices, this webcam served as an ideal concealed foothold for encrypting the entire office.

U.S. Developing Attack Plans Targeting Hormuz With Three Carriers
The United States military is developing new battle plans to target Iranβs capabilities in the Strait of Hormuz, CNN reported on April 24, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The report comes days after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had extended the two-week ceasefire with Iran at the request of Pakistani mediators, who said more time was needed for Iran to formulate a proposal to permanently end the war.
According to CNN, the Pentagon is reviewing several attack plans, including an option that would include strikes against Iranian targets around the Strait of Hormuz, the southern Arabian Gulf, and the Gulf of Oman.
On the same day as the report, the U.S. military announced that a third aircraft carrier had arrived in the Middle East, the highest number of American carriers deployed to the region in more than 20 years.

41 kidnappings of crypto holders in France in 3.5 months of 2026.
Why?
π₯ French tax officials selling crypto owners' data to criminals (Ghalia C.) + massive tax database leaks.
Now the same state also wants IDs and private messages of social media users.
More data => More leaks => More victims.
Thatβs why Telegram would rather leave the French market than give their corrupt bureaucrats access to private messages.πΆ
