Evelyn Walker, a fit and healthy 17-year-old, was told by doctors her symptoms were just anxiety. But on February 7, she collapsed in her classroom after feeling chest pain, nausea, and fatigue. She went into cardiac arrest — her heart stopped and she wasn’t breathing. Staff performed CPR as a teacher rushed for the defibrillator, saving her life.
