Love of Imam Husayn (as)

A group went to Aba Abdillah al-Husayn (as). They said, “O son of the Prophet (s), a group of our friends went to Mu’awiyah but we have come to you.” He said, “We will reward you more than what he will give.”
They said, “May we be sacrificed for you; we haven’t come to get something from you. We have come because of our religion and in order to get closer to God.” When they said this, the Imam lowered his head and began drawing on the ground with his finger.
He thought for a long time. Then he raised his head and said, “I’ll tell you a little of a lot. Whoever loves us, not because he wishes to receive something worldly from us and not because he is our relative, if he loves us purely because of God and His Prophet (s), he will be with us on the Day of Judgment like this. [He stuck his two fingers together.]”
