📕 What is the main thing we need for a happy life?

📌 A person should have a happy life and always be lively.
📌 Our main need is for God Himself.

💠 A better life: A person should have a happy life, and he should always be lively. A person’s mind, heart and even his body will work well when he has a feeling of wellbeing. When a person’s heart works well, he will love others and be kind to everyone.

💠 Worshiping better: When a person has a sweet life, he will become dear to the Almighty God too. “Worshiping God thankfully” is the most beautiful kind of worshiping. But, this kind of worshiping is for the fortunate people who are filled with vivacity and blessings. They prostrate due to their happiness, and their prostrations are long. This is due to the fact that they are very much drowned in the enjoyments of the world, and they want to thank God very much.

💠 Question: What should we do so that our life will become sweet and we will be able to live with sweetness and consequently serve God with sweetness? What should we do not to be so thirsty for enjoyments that we pursue any enjoyment from any sin that we see or imagine that we see?

💠 Answer: The main need of us human beings is for God Himself. Our main need is not for the blessings that we want to get from God. We need God Himself, and we should get energy and life from Him directly. Otherwise, the battery of our spirit will become weak, and we will die little by little. I mean, we become mirthless.

💠 The way that we get energy directly from God, is through “worshiping.” Worshiping is the connection of our soul to the source of power and life. It regulates the veins of our spirit and nerves. Worshiping even has a good effect on our body. By worshiping, the cells of our body become kinder to us. This is because all these cells love God and praise Him. Worshiping is the way to charge the soul to gain more power and vitality. After worshiping well, a person will live more lively like a child who has gained enough calmness from his mother’s embrace and is ready to experience life better.

One of the times, when a person searches for God, feels he wants to repent, and becomes pure, is after frustration and coming to a dead end. It seems that after a difficult tragedy, a person’s eyes open. We have to live in such a way that we gain these feelings and this becomes possible. One method is to pay attention to the horrible punishments in the hereafter.

Thinking is the most important tool for opening a person's heart and for his soul to fly, but for healthy people with an inner peace! However, this is not true for people who as soon as they start thinking, either regret the past, are worried about the future, or are jealous about others. It is better for these kinds of people not to think! Maybe it is better for them to repeat God’s names. Although, repeating God’s names is the serenade of the people who think.

In the first moment when one meets God, all of the effects due to the bitterness of this world will be eliminated.

Otherwise, with all its inner purity, it will become perverse. If the heart is restrained, it will find more inner purity, and it will give more joy to a person.

📕 Introducing a Private Mentor for the Journey in Mysticism

📌 All of us have a mentor named “prayer.”
📌 Prayer is not a dead, spiritless activity.

💠 How good it is for a person to have a mentor who can detect his pains and say, “You have to do that certain action for your problem to be solved.” A mentor not only guides, he also helps a person to resolve his problems. Perhaps you have heard many stories about people who were in pursuit of journeying towards God, and if they found a good mentor, how that mentor helped in different stages and helped them in surmounting the obstacles.

💠 But, all of us have a mentor named “prayer.” Praying is the mentor for taking a person to God. Prayer is alive, has reason, moves, is active, is clear-sighted, and is aware. Prayer is not a personal habit or a public ceremony. Prayer is not a dead, spiritless activity that doesn’t have any use for us. The prayer of each person works for him in accordance with him. If I love holding a position, my prayer will eliminate this love for a position. If I love money, it will eliminate that love of money. If I love carnal desires, it will resolve my carnal desires. If I am arrogant, it will eliminate my arrogance. If I don’t have love for God, it will bring love for God. The prayer of each person knows what to do with him to correct him.

💠 How do you think our elders and the mystics reached high levels? With prayer! A prayer itself is a person’s mentor. For example, do the following each time after praying, when you want to get up quickly from your praying mat to go and do your work. Tell yourself, “Let me read the invocations for after the ritual prayers too.” Contemplate some and read the invocations. Doing this will remove one evil from your soul.

💠 Question: So, we don’t need a mentor anymore? But, there is a famous sentence which says, “Don’t travel on this path without a mentor. It is dark. Be afraid of the dangers of being alone.”

💠 Answer: If it is necessary for you, God will certainly send someone to help you. For the beginning of the way, the general awareness that most of you have is enough. The Commander of the Faithful, Ali (‘a), said, “What you need more is to act on what you know, than to know what you don’t know.”
