🔻Our Sacrifices
🔸The issue of sacrificing started from the beginning of creation. The main argument between Cain and Abel was about their sacrifices being accepted. [Qur’an 5:27] Cain wasn’t an ill-tempered person that he decided to kill his brother. Rather, the important issue of a #sacrifice being accepted or not was involved.
🔸At the end of each period of worshiping, we should think about whether our worshiping has been #accepted or not, for instance Hajj or the month of Ramadan. A deed being accepted is very complicated, and God has made it ambiguous for us whether He has accepted our deeds or not.
🔸Sometimes we must sacrifice our #likings. Prophet #Ibrahim (‘a) had asked for a son from God, God had granted him #Ismail and he liked his son because of God. He wasn’t an ordinary child, but was capable of becoming a prophet. Now, he had to sacrifice his child, and Prophet Ibrahim did so. However, God showed mercy to him and said, “You truly wanted to do this, so it’s enough and accepted.”
🔸Sometimes we must sacrifice one of our #talents. We should not become sad if we are not able to use all our talents or if we are not able to do a great deed, which we had wanted to do. Sometimes these things are our sacrifices. We put effort but if it doesn’t happen, we should say, “Ok God.”
🔸We have #problems in life. Let’s count them to be our sacrifices for God. Let your soul smile and be satisfied with life. You have made a sacrifice in not being able to do something, to show a talent, or you lost an opportunity. Say, “These are my sacrifices.”
🔸Imam Ali (‘a) was the most talented person on earth who could have manifested all his talents. He said, “People, I can get light from this running water for your nights!” [Tasnif Nahj al-Balaghah, p. 782] They did not allow him to manifest his talents.
🔸If a person gives a sacrifice and it’s accepted, he will enjoy spiritually very much, not a selfish but a loving enjoyment. The #vitality and happiness that comes from giving a sacrifice is so great that we have an #Eid for giving a sacrifice called “Eid al-Adha.”
🌱Congratulations on Eid al-Adha to everyone!

🔻 Search and find your role.
-🔻 It may be different from your existing talents.
🔸 #LadyFatimah (as) said in her supplication, “O God, give me the opportunity to do what You have created me for.” [Muhaj al-Da’awat, p. 141] This shows that everyone has been given a #role in this world and can’t play another’s role.
🔸For example, one person has the role of being a father and one is a mother. God may tell them, “You yourself won’t become anything special in your life, but your child will. The result of all your efforts is that your child will be successful.”
🔸If we don’t accept this principle [the division of roles in this world], we will always be caught up in competitions, jealousies, enmities, regrets and sorrows about the past. And our hollow wishes for the future will cause us to go astray.
🔸Sometimes your role is different from your #talents. For example, God has determined for a person to be a mother and train her children, although she may have the ability to be successful in other fields. There is no difference between men and women in this. Many are not willing to accept their role. Whoever follows his/her desires will leave his/her role and lose track of it.
🔸All the world tells you to work based on your talents. But Fatimah (as) told you to carry out the role and plan that God designed for you. If it doesn’t match your talents, ask God for that talent.
🔸It is narrated that Allameh Tabatabai in the start of his studies in the Islamic seminary wasn’t able to understand his lessons well. So he resorted to the Immaculate ones and God had mercy on him. If he had looked at his talent and thought that being a seminary student didn’t match his talent, he wouldn’t have reached such a high level. But he was patient and God granted the needed ability to him.
🔸The role of Zahra (as) in this universe is unique. For instance, her existence is effective in the being of all the Imams. The Prophet (s) told her, “O Fatimah, I give you the good news that Mahdi is from you.” [Mizan al-Hikmah, vol. 1, trad. no, 1261] The light of Fatimah (as) that exists in the being of Imam Mahdi (aj) shows her special, hidden role.
🌸Congratulations on Lady Fatimah’s birth anniversary.
