Apartment prices have risen sharply in Poland due to PiS "2% safe credit" scheme that gave subsidized interest rates to home buyers.
Now prices are high, and the program has ended because it ran out of funds. So a Pole trying to buy a home now is worse off.
The new government will reportedly introduce a new program, with more restrictions eg Poles above 35 won't be eligible
My big problem with these schemes are they have been made available to foreigners.
36 year old Pole trying to buy an apartment won't get any help and will suffer the higher prices, while a 34 year old immigrant will get it. It's anti Polish policy.
