🇭🇺❌🇮🇹— Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani held talks with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó on the alleged atrocities committed against Italian far-left anti-fascist defendant Ilaria Salis during her detention.
The trial in the case of the brutal attacks by foreign anti-fascists last year began on Monday at the Metropolitan Court of Budapest.

— "We want to know why some of the basic rules for the treatment of detainees are not respected, we asked for them to be respected because they have gone too far."

— Antonio Tajani said that he had contacted Péter Szijjártó on the matter, and that the representative of the Hungarian Embassy in Rome had also been summoned to the Italian Foreign Ministry to protest against the treatment of the woman. He also said that they would try to ask for house arrest for the accused or to arrange for her to serve her sentence in Italy.

— Admin question: why does the italian foreign minister lobbies for the extradition or for jail time suspension for left-wing terrorists?
