5 Police Officers With The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department In North Carolina Have Resigned And A 6th Officer Is Currently Suspended After Their Racist Texts Were Uncovered During An Investigation That Started With A 7th Officer Who Resigned After Unauthorized Viewing Of Flock Camera Data.

The exact contents of the messages weren't disclosed, but they allegedly contained racist slurs including the n-word, and a competition to see who could pull over the most Black drivers.

What the fuck?

In another message, an officer reportedly wrote that their texts sounded like "a clan rally."

The messages were described as explicitly racist, misogynistic, homophobic, and religiously biased.

This is obviously extremely troubling.

It's in the public's interests to see the transcripts of these messages. We also need an independent audit of the interactions these cops had with civilians.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will “destroy” the Hebron neighborhood where the gunmen behind today’s resistance operation in the occupied West Bank originated. He made the remarks during a visit to the city alongside War Minister Israel Katz.

“First of all, we will act to destroy this place, to change it completely,” Netanyahu says in a video released by his office. “But we are going to do something that has not been done until now: We will implement the successful and aggressive model we used in the refugee camps, which are essentially terrorist strongholds.”

“That is exactly what we will do here, in the neighborhood in Hebron from which the terrorists emerged,” Netanyahu continues. “We will evacuate the residents, we will go house to house, we will remove the weapons there as well, and all the terrorist infrastructure will be dealt with and destroyed.”
