The American "People's Convoy" with protesters for freedom from covid restrictions and mandatory vaccination mandates is heading from California to Washington.

As in Canada, drivers are met and supported by people with flags and banners along the way in different localities.

Also, the US National Guard is going to "meet" a convoy of trucks. The Pentagon said up to 800 military personnel would block the path of the protesters.

The organizers of the action had previously announced that their protest would last 11 days. 25 convoys are heading to Washington, which are going to join forces and gather in the US capital on March 7.

The "People's Convoy" has already raised almost 500 thousand dollars to finance the action of truckers. The organizers distributed cards to the participants for the purchase of food, gasoline and consumables.

The government of the country has been warned that riots and blocking of roads may begin if the demands of the protesters are not met.
