The committee then spent the vast majority of its time interrogating her about MMR, autism, and the hepatitis B birth dose than it spent questioning her about cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease, obesity, and sepsis combined.
Senator Cassidy spent his entire time questioning her on vaccines.

C.S. Lewis wrote Aslan as Christ. Male. He. The Son of the Emperor-Over-the-Sea.
Netflix has chosen a woman to give voice to that explicitly male Christ figure.
This doesn't happen in a cultural vacuum. For years, Hollywood has been deliberately breaking the connection between biological sex, gender and identity, particularly in stories presented to children.
Male becomes female.
Female becomes male.
And eventually the audience is expected to pretend there are no differences. As if they weren't there.
Now that treatment has reached Aslan, one of the most recognizable representations of Jesus Christ in children's literature.
This is not “artistic vision.” This switch from male to female of a representation of Christ in literature is both disrespectful of C.S. Lewis' original work and and the man himself.
At what point does “inclusion” become the deliberate erasure of the source material, and a mockery of the Christian faith at its center?

Trump has already survived three documented assassination attempts. Federal prosecutors have also convicted an Iranian IRGC operative in a murder-for-hire plot that DOJ says included plans to assassinate Trump. And U.S. officials have received additional warnings concerning Iranian threats against him and his family.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military and DHS have been treating drones, including increasingly autonomous systems, as a serious homeland-security threat.
So put the pieces together: a President who has already been shot at, another would-be assassin positioned with a rifle near his golf course, documented Iranian assassination plotting, and rapidly advancing autonomous-drone technology.
The location itself makes strategic sense. The proposed arch would sit at Memorial Circle, at the Virginia end of Arlington Memorial Bridge, giving an elevated position with unusually open sight lines over the Potomac and the western approach to the Lincoln Memorial, National Mall, and central Washington.
For counter-drone surveillance, detection and interception, that geography is hardly arbitrary.

Two fiddlers played afterward, because this congregation loved music. Then the whole crowd went outside to hear two young Virginians argue about the new Constitution.
One was James Madison, age thirty-seven. The other was James Monroe, age thirty. Both would later become President. That winter they were rivals for a seat in the first United States Congress, and each wanted the votes of the families standing in the snow.
Madison was an unlikely figure for the rough-and-tumble of Virginia politics. He was small and slightly built, and by his own later account was no commanding public speaker. Monroe, seven years younger, had already been wounded fighting in the Revolution. Yet here they were, campaigning against each other in the Virginia countryside in the middle of winter.
Madison told the story forty years later to his young friend Nicholas Trist. He called the congregation “a nest of Dutchmen” whose votes might tip the election. This is how fear gets manufactured.
First, what is an "El Niño?"
El Niño is a naturally occurring climate pattern in which surface waters across the central and eastern equatorial Pacific become unusually warm. That warming alters atmospheric circulation and changes the probability of certain weather patterns around the world.
California is currently facing the possibility of a very strong El Niño trend this winter. That is real.
What is NOT known is whether California will experience “epic,” “record”, catastrophic or normal winter storms months from now.
In fact, NOAA explicitly warns that the strength of an El Niño does not necessarily correspond to the strength of its impacts. A stronger El Niño can increase the probability of certain weather outcomes. It does not guarantee them.
Yet Governor Newsom has already declared a STATE OF EMERGENCY for anticipated winter storms.
And look at the headlines:
LA Times: “California declares statewide emergency ahead of epic El Niño storms.”
The Guardian: “California braces for record El Niño storms as governor declares emergency.”
Notice the bait and switch.
An unusually warm Pacific became “record storms.”
Increased probability became impending catastrophe.
A seasonal forecast became a state of emergency.
There isn't currently a winter storm bearing down on California. There isn't a forecast telling California where these supposedly “epic” winter storms will strike, when they will arrive or how much rain they will produce.
Prepare? Of course.
But why declare an emergency for something that hasn't happened yet?
But declaring an emergency months in advance and publishing headlines about “epic” and “record” storms that have not occurred isn't weather reporting. It is turning uncertainty into certainty and risk into fear.
And yes, Newsom has pulled out the dreaded climate change card in announcing his emergency.
The next question is how much does Newsom want the federal government to spend for this anticipated climate change emergency (umm... virtual winter weather).
