A senior Israeli official told news agency Reuters that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's body has been found, several Israeli media outlets reported.

It comes moments after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed there were "signs" that the Iranian leader "is no longer".

Earlier, Israeli media reported that dozens of bombs had been dropped on Khamenei's compound.

Israeli sources report with high confidence that Ali Khamenei has died, while Iranian media claims he is still alive.

Wall Street Journal:

The US and Israel waited for an opportunity when senior military and political leadership in Iran would gather so that they could assassinate them all at once.

According to sources, intelligence agencies in Israel and the US finally identified three such meetings and attacked in broad daylight.

The report also stated that Israeli fighter jets dropped 30 bombs in the strike on Khamenei's office.
