If God has given you mercy, do not give Him half your heart!

That is something every one of us should slow down and think about.

Because it is possible to thank God with our mouth while still holding back areas of our life.
It is possible to say, โ€œLord, I am grateful,โ€ while still giving Him our leftovers, our partial obedience, our Sunday only, or the pieces of our heart we are comfortable surrendering.

But God has been too good to receive half-hearted devotion!

He carried you when you were weak. He was patient with you when you were stubborn. He showed you mercy and grace again and again.
He gave you breath in your lungs, another day to live, His Word, and salvation through Jesus Christ.

So what should our response be?

Romans 12:1 KJB says:
โ€œI beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.โ€

By the mercies of Godโ€ฆ present your life to Him!

Not just your words. Not just your worship when it is convenient. Not just a few minutes when you feel inspired. Not just the parts of your life that are easy to give.

Your heart. Your obedience. Your habits. Your future. Your whole life!

Gratitude is not just saying, โ€œThank You, Lord.โ€
It is living like you belong to Him.

And no, that does not mean you will be perfect. None of us are.
It means you stop making peace with compromise.
It means when the Lord convicts you, you listen. When He calls you to grow, you obey. When He shows you what needs to change, you do not run from it!

You surrender it.

Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, God is not asking for part of you.
He is worthy of your whole heart, soul, and life!

So today, ask yourself honestly: am I giving God my whole heart, or only the parts I do not mind letting go of?

Give Him your praise, obedience, gratitude, and your surrender!

Live like you belong to Jesus Christ; because, you do!

TRUTH BE TOLD, amen.
*_See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,_*

(Ephesians 5:15)

*Prayer :*

Grant us Your divine wisdom so that we may turn away from the illusion of happiness that addictions promise, and instead be filled with Your Spiritโ€”overflowing with true joy and constant thanksgiving.

Help us to humble ourselves before You and to listen attentively to Your Word.

Allow it to sink deeply into our hearts, shaping us into mature believers who are grounded and filled with Your wisdom.
In Jesusโ€™ name, AMEN.

*_Happy Sabbath_*
In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God. โ€” John 1:1 NLT

What a strange way to begin a story: "In the beginning the Word already existed." But that statement's true because that Word is Jesus! When God wanted to tell human beings about himself, when he wanted to give us Good News about salvation, when he wanted to give us a message about his love for us, he sent Jesus. Jesus is God's Word - his Message. And this Word was with the Father all along. In fact, he was and is "in very nature God." [1] Jesus is God come to us as Savior, in human flesh. He is God with us, the Messenger of all messengers and the Message of all messages.

[1] Philippians 2:6 NIV.

Today's Prayer
Thank you, Father in heaven, for giving me your Message in Jesus, the Message about your love that I can understand. Thank you for giving me this essage that I can see in action. Thank you for Jesus and all he is to me. Thank you for your Message of love, salvation, and grace in Jesus. I offer this thanks in his name, and to your glory. Amen.

TRUTH BE TOLD, glory to God, yes.
"Brethren, pray for us." โ€” 1 Thessalonians 5:25

This one morning in the year we reserved to refresh the reader's memory upon the subject of prayer for ministers, and we do most earnestly implore every Christian household to grant the fervent request of the text first uttered by an apostle and now repeated by us. Brethren, our work is solemnly momentous, involving weal or woe to thousands; we treat with souls for God on eternal business, and our word is either a savour of life unto life, or of death unto death. A very heavy responsibility rests upon us, and it will be no small mercy if at the last we be found clear of the blood of all men. As officers in Christ's army, we are the especial mark of the enmity of men and devils; they watch for our halting, and labour to take us by the heels. Our sacred calling involves us in temptations from which you are exempt, above all it too often draws us away from our personal enjoyment of truth into a ministerial and official consideration of it. We meet with many knotty cases, and our wits are at a non plus; we observe very sad backslidings, and our hearts are wounded; we see millions perishing, and our spirits sink. We wish to profit you by our preaching; we desire to be blest to your children; we long to be useful both to saints and sinners; therefore, dear friends, intercede for us with our God. Miserable men are we if we miss the aid of your prayers, but happy are we if we live in your supplications. You do not look to us but to our Master for spiritual blessings, and yet how many times has He given those blessings through His ministers; ask then, again and again, that we may be the earthen vessels into which the Lord may put the treasure of the gospel. We, the whole company of missionaries, ministers, city missionaries, and students, do in the name of Jesus beseech you
"BRETHREN, PRAY FOR US."
