God Never Slumbers Nor Sleeps

“Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” Psalm 121:4

He that sustains you shall never sleep nor slumber. He shall watch His Word to perform. Until His last word of promise to you is accomplished, He will not rest for your sake. He will make sure all that concerns you is intact with Him. Believe the Word of the Lord and cleave to it, because of His Word for your life, day in and day out, He is preparing and causing everything to fall into place.

His Spirit is restless because He wants to make a statement with your life. He wants to prove to the world that, indeed, He is the Lord, your God. He that has promised you a year of multiplication is steadfastly ordering your steps. He is up to go ahead of you so you don't crash. Walk in the line He is towing for you, to make it easy in working out things in your life for His glory. He sees your daily moves.

Make sure you sin not or engage yourself in vain conversations, for He that watches over you neither sleeps nor slumbers.

Thank You, Lord, that You don't slumber or sleep.

Captain Machchhar was the captain of FlyDubai Flight FZ1073, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv with around 174 passengers on board.

More than two hours into the flight, his Omani co-pilot allegedly snapped — pulling a knife and stabbing Captain Machchhar inside the cockpit in what Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is now calling an attempted jihadist terror attack to kill all 174 passengers on board.

Emergency codes 7700 and then 7500 - hijack - screaming across the radar. The aircraft plunged from 34,000 feet to 16,000 feet in seconds, dropping 14,300 feet in just 37 seconds.

Captain Smit managed to open the cockpit door, he was critically injured. An Israeli doctor on board helped to stabilize his condition. Israeli passengers stormed the cockpit, Yaniv (passenger) subdued the Omani copilot and pulled up the control column, stabizing the plane, & two airline deadheading pilots stepped in & took control of the aircraft, landing it safely on a re-direct to Saudi Arabia.

THEY FOLLOWED JESUS!' — John 1:35-37

The following day John was again standing with two of his disciples. As Jesus walked by, John looked at him and declared, "Look! There is the Lamb of God!" When John's two disciples heard this, they followed Jesus.— John 1:35-37 NLT

John had already talked about Jesus being the "Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." [1] This time, however, his identification of Jesus as the Lamb of God provokes a response from two of his own disciples. They followed Jesus. They shifted their allegiance from the human messenger to the glorious Message.

As disciples of Jesus, our goal is to resist preacher or teacher infatuation - our faith shouldn't be built on a preacher, a pastor, a teacher, an evangelist, or anyone other than Jesus. We should remember the goal of every messenger's ministry should always be to get people to follow the Savior. Make sure your faith and hope are tied to Jesus and not to one of his messengers. The glory of any preacher's or teacher's message should be Jesus, not that particular messenger's style or personality. Let's make sure we follow Jesus; our doing so should be the true objective of a Christian messenger!

Today's Prayer

Father, thank you for those who have powerfully influenced my life toward faith. Your messengers who taught me about Jesus, stirred my heart to faith, and called me to righteousness are precious to me. However, dear Father, please guard me against valuing your messengers so much that I forget to seek Jesus as your living and enduring Word. By the power of your Holy Spirit, nudge me away from an over-dependence on human messengers and help me to follow your Son wholeheartedly. In Jesus' name, I live and pray. Amen

Thank you Jesus for loving me even when I don't deserve it, you love me anyway

Have You ever Prayed and felt like Your our Words were going No farther than the Ceiling?

That God was being silent, that you weren't being heard?

You still believe in God. You still love Jesus Christ. You still open your Bible and pray.
But something feels different...

Prayer feels quieter than it used to. Scripture does not seem to hit your heart the same way. Worship feels harder. You look around and inside you are wondering, “LORD, where are You?”

Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, do not confuse a quiet season with God abandoning you.

There will be moments in your walk with God when your emotions and feelings are strong, and your prayers feel powerful...

There may also be seasons when you feel almost nothing.

But your relationship with God cannot be built entirely upon what you feel, sense, or see from one moment to the next.

Feelings come and go.
Circumstances change.
Your energy shifts.

But the LORD remains faithful; For HE is faithful who promised!

Psalm 145:18 KJB says:
“The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.”

Notice that Scripture does not say the LORD is near only when you feel that He is near.

Call upon Him.
Honestly, and humbly.

If you feel spiritually dry, tell Him.
If prayer has become difficult, tell Him.
If you are discouraged because you do not feel as close to God as you once did, tell Him that too.

You do not need to have some emotional experience before you can come before the LORD.

Come as you are, and keep seeking Him!

James 4:8 KJB says:
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”

So what do you do when you do not feel close to God?
Draw near anyway.

Praise the LORD even when your emotions are quiet.

Examine your heart. If there is sin you know you have been holding onto, confess it and turn from it.

Put away some of the noise.
Turn off the phone for a while.
Get somewhere quiet.
Sit with God's Word.

And do not panic if everything does not suddenly change in one prayer.

Sometimes faithfulness looks like continuing to seek God when there are no huge moments.

Sometimes faith is simply saying:

“LORD, I do not feel close right now, but I am not walking away.”

Jesus Christ is still Lord.
The cross still matters.
God's Word is still true.

His mercy and grace is still great.
And you are still invited to draw near.

Do not measure the LORD's faithfulness by the intensity of your emotions.

Keep seeking Him.
Keep calling upon Him.
Keep opening His Word.
Keep walking with Jesus Christ, daily.

Draw near to God. Stay close to Jesus Christ. Keep the faith.

The LORD is near to you, always!

Knock Down the Appetite for Sexual Immorality

“Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” Isaiah 58:6

It was God who ordained sex, but He only accepts it in the context of marriage. If you are not married and have sexual intercourse with another person, it is fornication. This generation is deceiving themselves by calling it dating. It is not dating! If a married person goes outside their matrimonial boundaries and has sexual intercourse with another man or woman, it is adultery.

The reason why God approves sex in the context of marriage is because it is the only thing that ties the souls of the people engaged in the sexual act together. When it is not done in the context of marriage, you allow demons to attack you, and afterwards, they will fight you with guilt. You choose your sin, but God chooses the consequences. That is why any sickness contracted from sex is difficult to cure.

Sex is a trusted weapon in the hands of the devil to draw souls to hell. I am concerned about how you cannot control your sex appetite. Anyone who cannot control his food appetite cannot control his sex appetite. Spend time in fasting and prayer and put your body under the influence of God, so you shall not fulfill the desire of the flesh.

Prayer
Help me to walk in sexual purity all the days of my life.

A life rooted in prayer and consecrated to holiness is a life continually transformed by God’s presence. The closer we draw to Him, the deeper we enter into His glory, His power, and His purpose.
