ATTENTION!

Given the IS-IR conflict, I created SITREPs for those wishing to follow my thinking. I’ll adjust and I won’t always get it right. It is my thinking nonetheless.

Today’s focus: China’s benefits & risks.

Because of this conflict, China’s benefits, are primarily strategic & indirect, rooted in its broader geopolitical & economic interests.

Below are the specific ways China gains:

1. The conflict weakens U.S. Influence in the Middle East. It diverts U.S. attention and resources from Asia, where China faces pressure over Taiwan and the South China Sea. By keeping the U.S. entangled in Middle Eastern crises, China gains breathing room to pursue its Indo-Pacific regional ambitions with less interference.

2. If there is no regime change in IR, it will strengthen ties with them. China’s close relationship with IR, cemented by a 25-year cooperation agreement beginning in 2021, is bolstered by the conflict. IR, increasingly isolated, relies on China as its primary buyer of sanctioned oil (over 90% of IR’s crude exports go to China). This secures China a discounted energy supply, critical for its economy, while giving Beijing leverage over Tehran. China also benefits by its diplomatic voice while not having to commit military forces (yet).

3. The conflict enhances China’s regional diplomatic clout. China is using the conflict to project itself as a neutral & global peacemaker, contrasting with the U.S.’s perceived bias toward IS. By condemning IS actions & calling for de-escalation, China appeals to Arab states & the Global Asian South, boosting its image as a champion of non-Western interests. Its mediation efforts, like the Saudi-Iran rapprochement in 2023, gain China credibility, potentially expanding their influence deeper into Middle Eastern diplomacy.

4. China will take advantage of economic opportunities because of the instability. Due to the regional instability China benefits by disrupting U.S.-aligned trade routes (e.g., through the Suez Canal or Bab Al-Mandab Strait), increasing reliance on China’s Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) infrastructure. However, China prefers “controlled instability”, as a full-scale war could threaten its Middle Eastern oil imports (nearly half its supply) along with many of its BRI projects.

5. China’s keen observation of all military engagements, particularly missile & drone performance, will help to refine their own defense strategies. IR weapons, often incorporating Chinese components or designs, provide real-world testing data. A prolonged conflict could also weaken IS’s technological edge, reducing its ability to counter Chinese tech investments in the region.

6. By supporting IR, China indirectly backs IR’s proxies (e.g., Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis), which challenge IS & U.S. short & long term interests. This low-cost strategy allows China to pressure Western powers without direct confrontation, aligning with its non-interventionist policy. There are many who correctly suggest China supplies weapons components to IR & its proxies, further amplifying its influence.

These benefits are not without significant risks.

A broader regional war will disrupt its energy security & BRI investments, which rely on Middle Eastern stability. Additionally, China’s pro-IR stance strains relations with IS, a key technology partner, potentially limiting access to IS innovation. Beijing’s difficult balancing act—maintaining ties with both IR and IS—requires careful diplomacy to avoid alienating either side. The administration needs to pay close attention here.

Conclusion: China benefits by leveraging the conflict to undermine U.S. dominance, secure cheap oil, enhance its diplomatic stature, & gain military insights, all while maintaining a low-risk, non-interventionist stance. However, these gains depend on the conflict remaining contained, as escalation will jeopardize China’s fragile economy & other geopolitical interests & alliances.

Feedback is important.

Iran Ballistic Missile capacity (SITREP)—how much longer can they sustain these barrages?

It’s just past 0200 local in Tel Aviv time now.

Iran has over 3,000 ballistic missiles but cannot launch all simultaneously (they’ve already launched 8 waves). Current evidence leans toward a maximum of around 180-200 missiles launched at once in recent attacks. It seems very likely that infrastructure limits simultaneous launches to far below 3,000.

Iran possesses a significant ballistic missile arsenal, estimated at over 3,000 missiles, making it the largest in the Middle East. However, the capacity to launch all these missiles at once is constrained by logistical and strategic factors, including the number of launch platforms and the nature of their deployment.

Recent military actions show Iran launching up to 180-200 missiles in a single strike. These numbers are significantly lower than 3,000, indicating a limit to simultaneous launch capacity.

Pt. 2 Continued Below

Pt. 2

Iran's infrastructure and launch capacity, including transporter-erector-launchers (TELs) and underground facilities, does not support launching 3,000 missiles at once. The focus on sequential or ripple-fire systems further supports this limitation.

My assessment is Iran is getting toward the end of their ballistic missile capacity (for a variety of reasons). They likely still retain hundreds but their ability to launch very large numbers is hindered by infrastructure destruction over the past several days as well as launch capabilities.

That said, DO NOT underestimate Iran’s ability to do as much as humanly possible to attempt to destroy Israel. That has been their stated goal for years and until there is regime change to someone more aligned with Israel and the west, expect this war to continue.

Iran's ballistic missile program has been a focal point of regional and international security discussions for many years, particularly given its implications for Middle Eastern stability and global non-proliferation efforts.

Iran's ballistic missile inventory comprises a diverse array of short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) and medium-range ballistic missiles (MRBMs). One notable development is an automated missile launch system revealed since 2020, capable of positioning up to five fully fueled ballistic missiles on an underground railcar for sequential ripple-fire through a single vertical shaft. This is what Israel is facing now. Barrages of dozens of these simultaneously and my assessment is more to come.

Strategic and Logistical Considerations
Launching 3,000 missiles simultaneously would require an unprecedented number of launch platforms and coordination, likely exceeding Iran's current capabilities. Strategically, such an action would deplete Iran's entire arsenal, leaving it vulnerable to counterattacks.

Our Israeli allies need to prepare for another round of massive amounts of missiles. Iran—you better get ready for a strategic counteroffensive. The Israelis have planned this war for a long time and my sense is that they are far more ready than you, particularly their population. The Iranian people DO NOT want to suffer any longer under their brutal tyrannical regime.

This war one will end with a clear victor.

ATTENTION!

There is GREAT debate whether Iran had a nuclear bomb or how close they were to possessing one.

This SITREP addresses what it takes to build one and readers can then speculate whether Iran had one or not.

That said (and let’s face it), this war between IS & IR is as much or more about regime change as it is about destroying IR’s ability to possess a NUC.

First, the time to build a NUC bomb after highly uranium enrichment (HEU) depends on several factors, including the level of enrichment, the design of the weapon, technical expertise, and available resources (ALL OF WHICH IRAN HAD).

Here's a breakdown:

For a simple fission bomb, like what’s referred to as a "gun-type" design, HEU with at least 90% uranium-235 is typically required. If the uranium is already enriched to this level, the enrichment step is complete. My judgement is the Israelis assessed that Iran was likely at that level of enrichment and could not risk further development of a NUCLEAR BOMB.

For a sophisticated state like Iran was, with enough HEU, technical know-how, and pre-existing infrastructure, a basic gun-type bomb (think WWII Little Boy or Fat Man) can be assembled in weeks. Essentially, the design of bombs like these is simpler, requiring less sophisticated engineering. And testing can be conducted deep underground.

Some “experts” will argue Fat Man is more complex (that's true). Overcoming this requires precise engineering of components like the neutron initiator and explosive lenses (Iran likely has (or had) access to these type technical components).

What’s Next (Steps post enrichment):

1. Material Fabrication: Shaping the HEU into the required form (e.g., a core or pit), which only takes days to weeks with proper equipment.
2. Component Manufacturing: Building other parts like the tamper, reflector, and detonators. This could take weeks to months, depending on the design and available technology (Iran was reported to be working on these for years). The sophistication of their ballistic missile capability allowed this type of technical testing & development.
3. Assembly and Testing: Integrating components and ensuring functionality. For a gun-type bomb, this is straightforward (days to weeks). For an implosion design, precision testing and machining could extend the timeline significantly (months).

This above analysis assumes no major obstacles (like having your nuclear, engineering, and technical support facilities decimated by a severe Israeli bombing campaign).

Other obstacles are political, logistical, or internal security constraints. All could extend timelines significantly.

Additionally, some types of more modern nuclear weapons often involve more complex designs, and require further time for development and testing.

AND, the deranged Iranian regime could care less about rules and norms or international law (or development & testing protocols of the IAEA for instance). They were already sponsoring terrorism globally (never mind in their own region).

Pt. 2

Bottom Line: Everyone that has been paying attention knows Iran has long wanted a NUC, they worked toward achieving one, they were very close, and as the leading nation for state sponsor of terrorism around the world, Iran could NEVER be allowed to possess a NUC. The regime said they wanted to annihilate Israel off the map!!

That said, the problem isn't Israel, the problem is the tyrannical Iranian regime that has a death wish for its own people, its neighbors and anyone else who doesn’t believe in its way of life. The current Iran regime represents a global problem for all humanity. I support and will pray for Israel and the people of Iran.

Take a listen to this video from early 2017. Trump has been correct in his belief about no NUCs for Iran for a long time.

This is a SITREP of historic importance for another part of America’s foreign policy (THREAD 1 of 2).

I’ve adjusted it slightly to protect people, but basic research will show this assessment is universal within the Ukrainian armed forces (my gut tells me it is due to severe corruption and incompetence).

While President Trump is contemplating the acceptable criteria for “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER” of the radical Islamist supremacists of Iran, i want to briefly shift focus to the WAR IN EUROPE (yes, it is still raging & it has already cost the U.S. taxpayers north of $500B with little to show for it.

This was a STUPID WAR.

Below comes from a soldier on the front lines:

An army is sustained by food, but its will to fight, its ability to withstand & destroy the enemy, is in the hands of its command. There is a huge difference between a unit that simply survives & a unit that actually fights.

Let's start by saying that this is not an appeal to a specific command, but it is something that, in my opinion, is critically lacking in understanding among the officer corps of Ukraine. A mediocre officer in peacetime affects combat readiness — which can sometimes be ignored. But a mediocre or incompetent officer in wartime leads to the death of soldiers & reduces the morale of the unit & its ability to hold the defense or conduct offensive operations.

We have lost more people due to poor command than from Russian actions. I will repeat again: as a soldier since February 2022, I claim that we have lost more people due to poor leadership & “Soviet” thinking than from direct Russian actions. The officer corps of Ukraine behaves like a caste system of untouchables or "army princes". Instead of caring about the normal living conditions of soldiers, most of the leadership is more concerned about the availability of a shower, a private room, etc.

This system allows incompetent officers not only to avoid responsibility, but also to be promoted or transferred to other positions to avoid red tape or so that the brigade or battalion commander who appointed them does not have to demote friends or deal with the consequences. This system of nepotism has a direct impact on the situation on the front lines.

A real-life example is the XYZ Brigade. After [a commander] was transferred to the SBS, command then was transferred to [another commander]. In the first two months of his new command, he sent intelligence officers on assault operations, which led to deaths & serious injuries among those who had nothing to do with combat operations. This undermined not only the morale but also the effectiveness of the unit. He sent soldiers to unreachable positions without any hope of reinforcement or even survival. It took more than 16 months for him to be removed from his post. 16 months of decisions that cost dozens, if not hundreds, of lives.

Such situations are part of the problem in the Land Forces of Ukraine. The NCO corps has not been properly formed since the start of a full-scale war in 2022, & the officer corps continues to live according to Soviet templates, where failures are covered up, & soldiers pay for it. We shed blood for Ukraine, we die for Ukraine, we fight for our children, wives, sons & daughters - while officers who do not care, who are not motivated, who do not have the right to command, continue to make mistakes that lead to senseless deaths.

I can’t speak for the level above the battalion, but given the recent statements of officers who tried to change the system & were forced to resign, this should be a signal to those in power. Change is needed if we want to preserve the freedom of the next generation, Ukrainian identity, & continue the path to democracy. At the current pace, these officers will continue to fill the cemeteries with brave, courageous Ukrainians for no good reason.

2 of 2:

That is why I will no longer lead brave men & women into the very hell of combat unless I know that there is an officer in the rear who cares about our lives & wants to complete the mission with us.

The most valuable thing we have is our people, our minds, our ability to think. We must instill the belief that people are more important than meters and medals - unfortunately, this is not the case at the moment.

There are butchers among us, there are bastards among us, & these officers must be removed immediately if we are to win this war and save our state.

If you are an officer reading this, or you are a person in power—political or otherwise—& this is making you angry, take a look at the six questions below. If you don’t pass even 75%, you are most likely the problem. Or the problem is your command. It’s 2025—it’s time for “Soviet” thinking to die with the Russians in the field.

We can no longer be led to the slaughter by promising the bare minimum & placing our lives in the hands of those who don't care.

1. I trust my company commander & am sure that he will do everything possible to get me out of a crappy situation.
2. I believe that command is acting in my best interests when planning the defense of forward positions.
3. I know that my officers will do everything they can to remove me from the position if problems arise & the Russians are able to gain a foothold.
4. Before each operation, I receive all the necessary information about the goals & am able to provide feedback to successfully complete the task.
5. We are being provided with all the information necessary to not only fight, but also to displace Russian forces.
6. I trust that the command of my brigade or battalion will come to my aid & do everything possible to get me out of a bad situation.

If you don't get well above 75% positive answers to these six questions, you are not coping with the command and should be removed immediately.

DJT needs to demand this war come to an end ASAP! Stop anymore U.S. taxpayer funding. Tell Zelensky he’ll never be part of NATO & let NATO know this is not only unwinnable but the west must find ways to bring Russia into our sphere of influence instead of allowing China to dominate them and the 21st Century. We only have Trump for a short time—we need him to use this period of history wisely if we in America want to experience another 250 years as a constitutional republic.

The world demands BULLET PROOF evidence.

No more of your IAEA BS.

Your evidence comes from the word of a radical Islamist supremacist tyrant regime who have called for the annihilation of another nation-state!!!

In this belated admission from Rafael Grossi of the IAEA, he states;

We have no evidence that Iran was preparing a nuclear weapon (WHAT!?).

He does it on CNN (very likely to be carried on CNN International) which may as well be called AAN overseas (Anti-American Network).

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency emphasizes:

We had no evidence of a systematic attempt by Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon.

Listen to him, he really has no idea. Here is an incredible display of anti-Americanism and clear thumbing of his and the organization that he leads nose at Israel.

What follows is a potential new reality IF Israel achieves total victory, the Iranian regime collapses, and a new pro-western Iranian leader emerges (all very achievable under the current conditions). The geopolitical strategic environment in the Middle East and globally would shift. With this new reality, comes a new set of conditions the Trump administration must consider.

The following are those considerations:

1. Israel is fighting a vicious and incredibly radicalized regime. They are after the psychotic leadership, not the people of Iran who have desperately been wanting their freedom back for decades. Israel fighting this war (our war) and not the U.S., accomplishes nothing short of protecting Western Civilization and liberty.

2. The United States must allow Israel to finish the job, to achieve victory. This then permits the United States to truly execute a much needed and long overdue, pivot to the Indo-Pacific.  China is our real enemy. Sorry Mr. President, they are. They've murdered hundreds of thousands in the past few years alone with the deadly bio weapon called fentanyl (they designed, produced, then introduced into the U.S.). We MUST shift our focus to China.

3.  A positive U.S. and Israeli relationship with new Iranian leadership, serves to further weaken China. Just the oil alone that comes out of the Persian Gulf is enough to bring China to its knees or to an entirely new set of negotiations. If you think 50% tariffs will work, wait until China no longer has a free flow of oil transiting the Straits of Hormuz.

4.  An Israeli victory permits expansion of the Abraham Accords (a signature Trump policy achievement established during his first term). This is a political and economic means to a very lucrative end where the Arab states work much more closely together, creating 2nd and 3rd order long-term positive effects.

5.  Destruction of the tyrants choking the light of freedom from the souls of the great Iranian people will prove to be a stabilizing effect for the region. This new found freedom is to the entire free world's advantage.

6. A clear and unambiguous victory establishes the perception and reality of U.S. global and Israeli regional dominance.

7.  A renewed Iran, led by benevolent leadership, one who embraces humanity and the global family of nations will be a force multiplier for the United States in the future rather than our enemy - a major and epic shift.

8.  Lastly, a relationship between Iran and India could be leveraged. India is a great and powerful, yet humble nation. The kind you don't want to mess with and clearly want on your side in a knife fight. If this can be nurtured (and it must), this relationship represents another massive force multiplier for the world.

The administration needs to embrace these type considerations and others yet to be considered. President Trump should address these topics and other vital national security objectives with the American people in the near future.
