I became curious about Pauline’s statement yesterday in that her vision for Australia is a monocultural nation as a multicultural society has not worked. That I can get on side with her on as it’s caused nothing but division & hate & is getting worse everyday so something has to give.
I looked up what countries are considered monocultural & this is what I found..
Japan – About 97–98% of residents identify as ethnically Japanese, though there are minority groups such as the Ainu, Ryukyuan peoples, Koreans, Chinese, and growing immigrant communities.
South Korea – Historically very homogeneous, though immigration has increased in recent decades.
Iceland – Small population with a strong shared language and cultural heritage.
Armenia – Large majority ethnic Armenian population.
Mongolia – Predominantly ethnic Mongolian.
Poland – Much more ethnically homogeneous today than before World War II.
Hungary – Predominantly ethnic
Portugal – Comparatively homogeneous by European standards.
I then obtained data on these countries from the year 2000 onwards with population numbers & terror attacks & compared to Canada, England, France, Germany & Australia who “pride” themselves on having a multicultural society & let’s just say that the data speaks volumes when you compare Australia’s population to Poland, South Korea & Japan!
I know I want my children to grow up in a safe country where everyone living here shares the same values & won’t get shot going to the beach or stabbed with machetes down at the shops🇦🇺
