Economic corruption is not the main reason people took to the streets.
People are protesting against a corrupt government that has ruled Iran for 39 years. A government that has infiltrated inequality between men and women, religious discrimination and social injustice.
For many years our people have been robbed of their basic human rights and have had to remain silent in fear of prosecution! Government officials have stolen millions of dollars from government funding, tortured and executed political prisoners and tried to spread hate for the West.
Now a whole nation has united to stand against this illiberal and oppressive regime willing to risk their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Our nation is showing their true colors.
We don’t want Islam we don’t want dictators! We want democracy and peace! A government that supports our people and justice! We want to end capital punishment and injustice. We want the world to know that Iranians have no problems with the West.
