What We Know About Tyler Robinson

Tyler Robinson, 22, from Washington County, Utah, has been arrested as the suspected gunman in the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

•Background: Robinson briefly attended Utah State University in 2021 and later enrolled at Dixie Technical College. Friends and family say he had become increasingly political in recent years, voicing sharp hostility toward Kirk and his views.

•The Attack: On Sept. 10th, Robinson allegedly fired from a rooftop about 200 yards away while Kirk was speaking at a public event. Investigators recovered a bolt-action rifle and bullet casings engraved with anti-fascist slogans and references to the far-left anthem “Bella Ciao.”

•Online Footprint: Discord messages linked to Robinson reveal discussions about retrieving a rifle from a “drop point” and preparing it for use. Posts and chats show Antifa-aligned imagery and rhetoric, suggesting a pattern of radicalization.
