The US bank said staff had been fired or resigned "after review of allegations involving simulation of keyboard activity creating impression of active work.” (Bloomberg)

Some large companies have been using increasingly sophisticated tools to monitor employees since remote work expanded during the Covid pandemic.

But tech has also evolved to evade the surveillance, including "mouse jigglers" which are aimed at making computers appear to be in active use - thousands have been sold on Amazon in just the last month.

The bloc must show its nuclear arsenal to the world to send a direct message to its foes, the chief of the “defensive” alliance insisted. (Telegraph)

He revealed there were live consultations between members on taking missiles out of storage and placing them on standby as he called for transparency to be used as a “deterrent.”

Stoltenberg warned that China in particular was investing heavily in modern weaponry - including its nuclear arsenal, which he claimed would grow to 1,000 warheads by as early as 2030.

❗️ Kremlin Derides Impact of Swiss “Peace” Conference as “Close to Zero”

The Swiss-hosted conference on the Ukraine war produced negligible results and showed the futility of holding talks without Russia, Kremlin spox Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

“Russia remains open to dialogue with all countries that intend to conduct it and will continue to convey its position to these countries,” Peskov added.

Western powers and their allies failed to persuade major non-aligned states to join their final statement at the weekend summit, with no country coming forward to host a sequel.
