🤔 EU to Transfer €1.5BN from Frozen Russian Assets to Kiev Regime

“Today we transfer 1.5 billion euros in proceeds from immobilized Russian assets to the defense and reconstruction of Ukraine,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen posted Friday.

Bloc member states have been discussing options to extend the renewal period of sanctions on Russian central bank assets in order to secure a major G7 loan for Ukraine, according to an EU draft document.

Will the reputation of the EU’s financial sector ever recover from this?

⚡️ Modi: Pakistan Using ‘Terrorism, Proxy War’ to Stay Relevant

Islamabad’s “unholy plans” will never succeed, the Indian PM added.

The nuclear-armed South Asian neighbors share an uneasy relationship and India has, for decades, accused Pakistan of backing extremist militants fighting its rule in Kashmir.

Modi’s comments came at an event to mark the 25th anniversary of India’s short military conflict with Pakistan in the Himalayan region of Kargil.

⚠️ French PM Vows to ‘Find and Punish’ Olympics Saboteurs

“The consequences for the rail network are massive and serious”, acting PM Gabriel Attal said. Adding, “Our intelligence services and law enforcement agencies are mobilised to find and punish the perpetrators of these criminal acts.”

Signals along the tracks were set on fire and cables cut and set alight in a series of three “coordinated” attacks that have brought train services around the capital to standstill, sources close to the investigation said.

French politicians were quick to point the figure at Moscow – without any evidence.

Jean de Gliniasty, former French ambassador to Moscow, told LCI: “We are obviously in a situation of conflict with Russia, and Russia is obviously not going to do anything, and that’s an understatement, to help these Olympic Games be a success.”

🧛‍♂️ Israel Fingers ‘Iran Axis’ for French High-Speed Rail Sabotage

Israeli FM Israel Katz has claimed that Tehran is at fault for the Olympic rail arson attacks.

“The sabotage of railway infrastructure across France ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics was planned and executed under the influence of Iran’s axis of evil and radical Islam,” Katz said in a post on X.

“The free world must stop Iran now - before it’s too late,” the war criminal added.

🩸 Documents Reveal How Germany’s Foreign Ministry Sabotaged Julian Assange’s Defense – Berliner Zeitung

Annalena Baerbock had publicly called for Assange’s “immediate release” but internal emails in her German FM from May 2023 reveal that they tried to weaken the WikiLeaks co-founder legal position – insisting he should not be labeled a “journalist.”

So, although the Federal Foreign Office knew how important the term "journalist" was for Assange's release, it should be avoided – hurdles for judges to convict a journalist under the American Espionage Act relatively high.

Was this double standard at the behest of the US?

⚡️ Israel’s ‘Project Atlantis’ Fails: Haaretz Investigation Reveals Tel Aviv’s Botched Plan to Flood Gaza Tunnel Network

‘Project Atlantis’ was supposed to take out the Hamas tunnels and to kill senior Hamas officials, by pumping in seawater at high intensity – regardless of the dangers posed to hostages.

Some six months after this system was revealed to the public, it turns out Atlantis is lost – with nobody from the IDF able to explain why the expensive dud was being shelved.

Haaretz learned that from the very first attempts to address the problem, professionals cast doubt on the ability to flood the tunnels in a way that would make it difficult for Hamas activists to remain in them, and to cause their deaths.

😒 FLASHBACK: Gerald Ford Predicted Kamala Harris’ Presidential Run

Almost 35 years ago, Gerald Ford predicted that America would get its first female president only when a male incumbent died on the job - old Joe is just clinging on at present.

“And once that barrier is broken - from then on men better be careful because they’ll have a hard, hard time even ever getting a nomination in the future. But that’s the way it’s going to happen,” Ford noted.
