🚨 German NATO Air Base Remains on “High Alert”

The security level was raised overnight at the Geilenkirchen air base due to “intelligence information indicating a potential threat.”

"All non-mission essential staff have been sent home as a precautionary measure," the base said in a statement on X.

"We are still at Charlie," a spox for the base told Reuters, referring to the second-highest of four states of alert - defined as “an incident has occurred or intelligence has been received indicating that some form of terrorist action against NATO orgs or personnel is highly likely.”
