Israel Furious as Britain Suspends Arms Sales

Israel has accused the UK of rewarding Hamas after it announced plans to suspend some export arms licenses.

UK FM David Lammy told MPs a two-month review had found a “clear risk” that British arms may be used in serious violations of international humanitarian law.

There were reports of friction with the US over the decision. Washington has said there is no basis for a suspension of arms exports.
