“Nancy Pelosi has a little problem because her husband sold their Visa stock – they had a lot of Visa stock – one day before it was announced that Visa is being sued by the Department of Justice,” the GOP nominee said.

“Think of that. Nancy Pelosi sold vast amounts of Visa stock one day before the big lawsuit that we all read about a few days ago,” Trump said. “You think it was luck? I don’t.” 

“She should be prosecuted,” he declared. “Nancy Pelosi should be prosecuted for that.”

🎯 Argentina’s Poverty Rate Soars Above 50% Under Milei – Worst in Two Decades

Argentina’s poverty rate has surged to 52.9% under Milei’s govt austerity program – with the popularity of the libertarian president faltering.

The rate is 11.2 percentage points higher than in the second half of 2023, when it stood at 41.7%, meaning 3.4mn Argentines have fallen into poverty this year.

The Argentine govt has struggled to pull the country out of a deep recession during a collapse in consumer spending, and a drop in industrial activity and construction because of inflation and austerity.

The prospect of “targeted levies” on France’s wealthiest households was laid bare by Antoine Armand, Barnier’s new finance minister.

Armand claimed the deeply unpopular policy was necessary given that France faces “one of the worst deficits in our history.”

The French govt is now paying a higher rate of interest than Spain on certain bonds, having previously overtaken those of Portugal during the summer general election.

“A lot of our debt is on international markets – we must preserve France’s credibility,” Barnier said.

🚢 US Claims China’s Most Advanced Submarine “Sinks” in Shipyard (WSJ)

The new Zhou-class nuclear-powered submarine - which features a distinctive X-shaped stern – was spotted on satellite images alongside a pier at Wuchang Shipyard as it was being equipped for sea in late May.

It is claimed to have sunk later that month or in early June. Suspicion was allegedly raised when floating cranes were seen at the site soon afterwards.

A senior US defence official told The Wall Street Journal: “It’s not surprising that the PLA Navy would try to conceal the fact that their new first-in-class nuclear-powered attack submarine sank pierside."

China’s Foreign Ministry said it “knew nothing” about the alleged incident in a statement Friday.
