The Islamic Republic “stands fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any aggression targeting its vital interests and security,” Iran’s permanent representative to the UN said in an address to the Security Council.
Iran was not seeking “war or escalation,” Amir Saeid Iravani said - but would exercise its “inherent right to self-defense fully in line with international law and will notify the Security Council of its legitimate response.”

A Belgium-based advocacy group announced this week that it had ‘filed an unprecedented and historic complaint with the International Criminal Court against 1,000 IDF soldiers - for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Gaza.’
"This complaint, supported by over 8,000 pieces of verifiable evidence - including videos, audio recordings, forensic reports, and social media documentation - demonstrates the soldiers' direct involvement in these atrocities," the Hind Rajab Foundation said.
The IDF soldiers identified in the complaint include at least 12 American, 12 French, four Canadian, three British, and two Dutch nationals.

Israeli “soldiers operating in southern Lebanon identified an immediate threat against them. The soldiers responded with fire toward the threat.
An initial examination indicates that during the incident, a hit was identified on a UNIFIL post, located approximately 50 meters from the source of the threat, resulting in the injury of two UNIFIL personnel,” the IDF statement asserted.

The Guardian found remnants of a US-manufactured joint direct attack munition (JDAM) in the rubble of the collapsed apartment building on Friday afternoon.
The weapons remnant was verified by the crisis, conflict and arms division of Human Rights Watch and a former US military bomb technician.
