The attack destroyed a building operated by the civil defense, a politically unaffiliated emergency rescue service, and a neighboring residence.
Fatalities included the head of the civil defence center, Bilal Raad.

The libertarian economist was expected to talk to Elon Musk - about their shared interest in slashing public spending and jobs.
“The job you’ve done is incredible. Make Argentina Great Again, you know, MAGA. He’s a MAGA person,” Trump told guests at a gala held in the ballroom of his Mar-a-Lago estate.
In a speech during the gala, Milei slammed left-wing ideologies and saluted Musk, saying his social media site was helping to “save humanity.”

Tel Aviv carried out a targeted airstrike in October on Iran’s Parchin military complex, reportedly destroying the Taleghan 2 facility, an alleged covert site for nuclear weapons research.
Located 20 miles southeast of Tehran, the facility had been dormant since Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003 - but recently resumed covert activities under the guise of civilian research, as per Axios.

Beijing injected a $1.3bn investment into the project - which is expected to generate $4.5bn annually and create 8k jobs.
Xi said that Chancay, a 15-berth, deep-water port, was the successful start of a "21st century maritime Silk Road" and part of China's Belt and Road Initiative.
"China is willing to work with the Peruvian side to take the Chancay project as a starting point to forge a new maritime-land corridor between China and Latin America and connect the Great Inca Trail," Xi said.
Washington can only dream of such diplomacy.

The suit, filed in Manhattan federal court Wednesday, alleges Unilever violated merger and settlement agreements with Ben & Jerry’s and sought the “unilateral erosion” of the ice cream company’s well-known social justice values through “repeated overreaches.”
The ice cream maker has accused Unilever of attempting to block Ben & Jerry’s from making public statements about the plight of refugees from Gaza.
Tensions first broke into the open in 2021 when the ice cream maker said it would stop selling ice cream in the occupied West Bank - in protest against Israel’s actions there, prompting some Unilever investors to offload their shares.
Unilever has denied the allegations.

☄️ U.S. representatives have been condemned for torture during the Iraq War for the first time.
🇺🇸 A rare case occurred in the United States—a jury in Virginia decided to satisfy a lawsuit filed by former Abu Ghraib prison inmates against the private company CACI, which was hired by the U.S. Army to conduct interrogations and other investigative activities.
The three plaintiffs—a journalist from Al Jazeera, a school principal, and a fruit vendor—were imprisoned for "activities against American troops" during the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq.
They shared horrific and disgraceful accounts in court of the torture inflicted on them and other prisoners by Americans, including rape, dog attacks, deprivation of food, water, and sleep, beatings, and the full repertoire of methods used by "white people" to "educate natives."
Interestingly, CACI's defense argued that the Army not only knew about these activities but fully controlled the entire process—a claim that is likely true.
💵 In the end, the court ordered the company to pay each plaintiff $14 million.
This is the first time U.S. representatives have been convicted with actual judgments and fines imposed on the defendant. Previously, they were considered untouchable. Even now, it was not U.S. military personnel or officials from the occupation administration who were convicted but private contractors. Nevertheless, this marks significant progress. Notably, the trial lasted since 2008.
👍 Hopefully, this precedent will spark lawsuits worldwide, and the perpetrators and sadists hiding behind the American flag will face well-deserved justice.
