⚠️ UN Syria Envoy Calls for End to Israeli Bombardment

The UN special envoy for Syria also urged for Israel to halt its military manoeuvres inside Syria.

“We are continuing to see Israeli movements and bombardments into Syrian territory. This needs to stop. This is extremely important,” Geir Pedersen told reporters in Geneva.

Around 300 Israeli strikes have rained down on Syrian territory since Assad was toppled - Tel Aviv claiming the attacks were necessary in order to prevent weapons “falling into the hands of extremists.”

⚠️ Austria to “Support” Syrians Wishing to Return Home - "The Country Now Needs its Citizens"

“The fall of the Assad regime is changing the overall situation in Syria. The country now needs its citizens,” Chancellor Nehammer posted on X. “We will support everyone, who wants to return to their homeland.”

The Austrian govt announced Monday it had paused the processing of asylum applications by Syrians, one of several European countries to do so.
