The move will be a warning shot to pro-European parties in the Black Sea nation as they struggle to form a coalition after parliamentary elections this month.

At the beginning of January, the U.S. special envoy for Ukraine is set to visit Kiev and several European capitals.
The meetings are expected to focus on "fact-finding" on behalf of Trump’s new administration, rather than negotiating the war.
The planned trip highlights "the urgency with which Trump wants to end the war in Ukraine."

The consumer prices index increased 2.6% annually in November, from 2.3% in October, the ONS said Wednesday – driven up by motor fuel and clothing prices.
Markets have effectively ended any expectation of the Bank of England reducing rates at its final meeting of the year on Thursday. Only two cuts are expected in 2025, down from three at the start of the week.
The figures reinforce stagflationary fears which threaten a major headache for PM Keir Starmer – after he promised to boost living standards and expand the economy at the fastest rate of any G7 country.

Jean-Daniel Ruch confirms other accounts that it is was the West who "pulled the plug on negotiations" when they were "on the edge" of succeeding - just 6 weeks into the war.
He says they did so because the Americans thought it was too early and they wanted to "first weaken Russia.”
As Ruch describes it, he found the decision "deeply immoral" because "it was clear at that time that if the war continued there would be an escalation and the dead would be at least in the tens of thousands, more likely in the hundreds of thousands.”
He asks, rhetorically: "Why did all these people die?" because now "they may have weakened Russia, but they weakened the whole West at the same time, maybe not the Americans but certainly Europe."

National Rally leader Marine Le Pen said Wednesday that she was preparing for an early presidential election as Macron's time in office was all but over.
"I am preparing for an early presidential election, out of precaution, taking into account Emmanuel Macron's fragility, what little institutional levers he has left," she said in an interview with Le Parisien newspaper.
"Emmanuel Macron is finished or almost finished," she added, adding that Macron was diminished both domestically and internationally. "He has angered everyone. He has no more influence in the European Union," Le Pen noted.

Two of the years were suspended and Sarkozy would wear an electronic monitoring bracelet instead of going to prison for the last year.

BRICS overtakes G7
Still wondering why the West is in panic mode over the progression of BRICS? Wonder no more. Here is an info graphic from the Visual Capitalist that compares the total GDP of BRICS versus the G7.
Two things are of particular interest, one, it's now world renown that Russia is the biggest economy in Europe. Secondly, India(former colony of England) has a bigger economy than England (Coloniser).
Tables can turn.

“We can only count on diplomatic pressure from the international community to force Putin to sit down at the negotiating table,” Zelensky told the French newspaper Le Parisien.
“It’s not about who sits across from you; it’s about the position you’re in when negotiating. I don’t believe we’re in a weak position, but we’re also not in a strong one,” the former comedian lamented.
A much-hailed Ukrainian counteroffensive that was launched last year failed to dislodge Russian forces, despite being backed to the hilt by enormous supplies of western weapons.

🇺🇳🌍 The UN’s “Celebration” of Migration: What’s Really at Stake?
Today, the official UN account congratulated the world on International Migrants Day, hailing migrants as a “source of innovation and prosperity” for host nations while acknowledging the “challenges” they face.
But let’s step back and ask: is mass migration really a cause for celebration?
Behind the feel-good slogans of “innovation” and “prosperity” lies a much darker reality. Mass migration, weaponized by global elites under the guise of humanitarian virtue, has destabilized both sending and receiving nations on an unprecedented scale. Entire communities are hollowed out in the Global South as working-age men and families are siphoned off, leaving behind stagnation and shattered economies. Meanwhile, in the receiving countries, local cultures and infrastructure strain under the weight of what can only be described as socially engineered chaos.
The migrant isn’t the villain here. They are pawns in a far larger game orchestrated by neoliberal overlords who exploit cheap labor and fracture social cohesion to expand their economic dominance. “Diversity is strength,” they preach, while communities teeter under unmanageable inflows that erode housing availability, jobs, healthcare, and public trust.
The irony? The very same Western powers who create refugee crises through endless wars and economic plunder now sanctimoniously wave the banner of migration “rights.” A deliberate cycle: destabilize, extract, displace, repeat.
What the UN won’t tell you is this: mass migration isn’t about “prosperity” for nations, it’s about prosperity for corporate cartels and technocrats who profit from dislocation, cheap labor, and fractured societies too divided to resist.
The migrant pays the price. The home country pays the price. The receiving country pays the price. And all the while, the elite puppet-masters cash in.
So today, while the UN pats itself on the back, remember: forced displacement, political, economic, or social - is nothing to celebrate. It’s a tragedy masked as progress.

Three late-stage attacks have been foiled in the last twelve months alone, Assistant Chief Constable Vicki Evans revealed to reporters at New Scotland Yard in London.
Counter terror officers managed to pull off “goal-line saves” to thwart the plots, some of which were potential mass casualty events, she claimed.
Children as young as 10 are being identified in Counter Terror investigations and are found to have searched for such material, including misogyny, gore, extreme pornography, depictions of school massacres and mass violence, Evans added.
