🇷🇺 What is known about Andrey Belousov, who may head the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation?

Belousov is a Doctor of Economics, Honored Economist of the Russian Federation, and held the position of State Counselor of the Russian Federation, 1st class.

He supervised the macroeconomic unit in the ministry, including issues related to improving the investment climate, implementing federal target programs, and the investment activities of Vnesheconombank.

In 2012–2013, Belousov headed the Ministry of Economic Development.

Under his leadership, the Concept of Long-term Socio-Economic Development until 2020 was developed.

At the end of April-May 2020, for three weeks, he performed the duties of the Prime Minister due to Mikhail Mishustin contracting coronavirus infection.

He is a member of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation (since September 10, 2014).

🤔 Britain Charges Three Men with ‘Spying for Hong Kong’

Three suspected spies for Hong Kong have been charged under the UK’s National Security Act, following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command.

The three men have each been charged with assisting Hong Kong’s foreign intelligence service and with foreign interference.

As part of the investigation, a total of 11 people were detained under section 27 of the National Security Act 2023.

Dozens of students walked out of Duke University’s commencement ceremony to protest its guest speaker – Seinfeld – over his support for a genocidal nation.

Figures in robes and caps, some waving Palestinian flags, were seen filing out of crowds of graduates assembled on the grass in the North Carolina University’s football stadium.

Seinfeld visited Israel and has vocally supported it since October 7.
