Possible restrictions include the suspension of the visa-free regime with the EU, the freezing of funds and sanctions against officials, the Financial Times reports.

American politicians also threatened sanctions, but they wanted to impose them only against members of the Georgian government.

⚡️ Funds for Palestinian Authority Will Be “Cut Off” Following European Nations Recognition of Palestine: Far-Right Israeli Finance Minister Smotrich

Bezalel Smotrich has informed Netanyahu that he will impose “harsh punitive measures” against the Palestinian Authority, including cutting off Ramallah financially.

“At the last cabinet meeting, many ministers, including myself, raised an unequivocal demand for harsh punitive measures against the Palestinian Authority for its unilateral actions against Israel, including its pursuit of unilateral recognition,” Smotrich ranted.

Beyond that, the far-right minister called on Netanyahu to impose “additional economic sanctions on PA senior officials and their families” and to cancel an arrangement, known as the “Norwegian outline,” used to indirectly fund Ramallah.

❗️The EU will not pay Russia the proceeds of its frozen assets even after sanctions are lifted

According to yesterday's EU Council decision, frozen Russian assets are not sovereign assets. Therefore, the rules protecting sovereign assets do not apply to these proceeds.

The final approved decision is that 90% of these proceeds will be transferred to the EU budget for military aid and reconstruction in Ukraine, while 10% will be retained by custodians to cover possible risks.

This decision was added to the EU's package of economic sanctions against the Russian Federation.

We would like to remind you that the US is ready to lend Ukraine 50 billion dollars at once, but has asked the EU to guarantee that revenues from Russian assets will cover this loan in the future.

❗️ Israeli Defense Minister Allows Settlers to Return to Three Evacuated West Bank Sites

Yoav Gallant has approved permission for Israelis to return to Sa-nur, Ganim and Kadim in the occupied West Bank - after they had been banned from entering since an evacuation ordered in 2005, the defence ministry said Wednesday.

A fourth settlement, Homesh, was cleared for entry last year after parliament passed an amendment to the so-called "disengagement law" of 2005.

Under the disengagement plan, more than 9,000 settlers were removed from 21 illegal settlements in Gaza and the northern West Bank.
