🇵🇱 Poland will buy 677 million euros worth of cruise missiles from the United States to boost its defence capabilities amid fears of a possible conflict with Russia, Le Parisien reported.

The AGM-158 JASSM-ER missiles, which have a range of about 1,000km, will be delivered to Warsaw between 2026 and 2030, the Polish defence ministry said.

According to the newspaper, the contract to buy the long-range cruise missiles is part of the modernisation of the Polish army, which has been accelerated by the military conflict in Ukraine. Fears of a potential conflict with Russia have led Warsaw to increase its defence budget to around 4% of GDP, the highest among NATO member states.

The country's prime minister, Donald Tusk, said earlier that Poland would spend more than two billion euros to strengthen its border with Russia and Belarus - the so-called Eastern Shield.

There is Article 111 of the Ukrainian Constitution, which says that powers are transferred to the Speaker of parliament, especially since under martial law, the powers of Parliament are extended - Putin educates.

Putin went on to explain that if elections in Ukraine are not being held during martial law, this does not mean that the presidential term is somehow extended.

The only legitimate government in Ukraine remains the Parliane and its Speaker. If they did want to hold presidential elections, they would have to repeal the Martial Law law, that’s all. But they didn’t want to do that - Putin
