⚠️ UN-backed investigation finds Israel has committed 'war crimes, crimes against humanity' in Gaza since Oct 7

Israel has been responsible for “war crimes of starvation as a method of warfare, murder or wilful killing, intentionally directing attacks against civilians and civilian objects, forcible transfer, sexual violence, torture and inhuman or cruel treatment, arbitrary detention and outrages upon personal dignity,” the independent inquiry concluded.

The commission found that "the crimes against humanity of extermination, gender persecution targeting Palestinian men and boys, murder, forcible transfer, and torture and inhuman and cruel treatment" were also committed.

💸US to Send Another $1.1BN Patriot Defense System to Ukraine

The critical systems are considered incredibly rare, Pentagon officials refuse to disclose how many are in its arsenal, but one senior military person said that the Army has deployed only 14 of them, in the US and around the world.  

It is by far the most expensive single weapon supplied by the US to Kiev, $400mn for the system and $690mn for the missiles.

The new Patriot system would be at least the second that the US has sent to Ukraine.

🚗JUST IN: EU to Impose 38% Tariffs on Chinese EV’s

Brussels is pushing ahead with Chinese electric vehicle tariffs, brushing aside warnings from Berlin that the move risks starting a costly trade war with Beijing.

The European Commission notified carmakers on Wednesday that it will provisionally apply 38% of additional duties for Chinese electric cars from July 4 – on top of 10% tariffs on the EV’s.

Brussels said that an investigation into the EV value chain revealed that it was “heavily subsidised in China, and that imports of Chinese [electric vehicles] presented a threat of clearly foreseeable and imminent injury to EU industry.”

Intelligence collection and analysis teams from the US and UK have been in Israel “throughout the war,” a senior Israeli official has revealed. (NYT)

British personnel were “assisting Israeli intelligence in collecting and analysing information related to the hostages, some of them citizens of both countries.”

The Israeli official added that Britain had also “been able to provide intelligence from the air and cyberspace that Israel cannot collect on its own.”

Pope Francis said there is “an air of faggotry” inside the Vatican, according to leaks from the Holy See.

The pontiff used the offensive term during a closed door meeting with priests in Rome on Tuesday, sources told Ansa, Italy’s national news agency.

Francis caused offence last month when he first referred to “faggotry”, saying too many young seminarians were gay - the Vatican forced to issue an apology, saying the Pope “never intended to offend.”

Boeing also saw Aerolineas Argentinas cancel an order for a single Max jet, as the fallout continues from the blowout of a side panel on a Max during a flight in January.

The results compared unfavorably with Europe's Airbus, which reported net orders for 15 planes in May — 27 sales but 12 cancellations.

Despite the slow pace of recent sales, Boeing still has a huge backlog of more than 5,600 orders.
