🚫 Beijing Lashes Out at ‘Lying, Belligerent’ NATO

China has responded angrily to a planned statement from NATO’s Washington summit, saying it is full of provocation and lies.

‘As we all know, China is not the creator of the crisis in Ukraine,’ Beijing said in response to the draft communique.

‘The declaration of the NATO summit in Washington is full of Cold War mentality and belligerent rhetoric, and China-related content is full of provocations, lies, incitement and smears.’

❎ This is the deal Ukraine was offered to bring forward negotiations…

Historians in the future will surely wonder why such a deal was not even considered by NATO and Kiev.

⚠️ Trump considering cutting back intel sharing with Europe (Politico)

Trump advisers have told allied countries the reduced intel sharing would be part of a broader plan to scale back US support with NATO, according to three European officials.

Asked for comment, a spox from the Trump campaign did not respond directly, instead referring to a statement on TruthSocial that the former president “will restore peace and rebuild American strength and deterrence on the world stage.”

Trump repeatedly questioned and sought to undercut the alliance during his first term in office.

NATO has once again confirmed its nature, as a military alliance created to maintain confrontation, and now it is fully involved in the conflict around Ukraine, the Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated today.

Other Peskov's statements:

⏺NATO's steps agreed at its Washington summit will require decisions from Russia to contain the alliance;

⏺NATO expansion into Ukraine is an unacceptable threat to Russia’s security;

⏺There are some leaders in the West whose point of view on Ukraine is reasonable.
