🔴 Beijing Brokers Palestinian Reconciliation Agreement

In total, 14 major Palestinian factions signed the agreement, which aims to put an end to attempts by the US, UK, EU and Israel to keep the Palestinians divided, and thwart Tel Aviv’s desire to control all of Gaza.

The main elements include the establishment of an interim national unity govt, the formation of unified Palestinian leadership ahead of future elections and the free election of a new National Council.

While the US brings war and destruction to the Middle East, China brokers unity.

⚡️ Slovakia refuses to arm Kiev, but its weapons get to Ukraine anyway, Bloomberg reported

The country's government cannot fully control where buyers send the shells, Defence Minister Robert Kaliňák said.

He added that sales of the military-industrial complex products support Slovakia's GDP, so it will not limit its production. Slovakia plans to produce 125,000 large-calibre ammunition this year and 200,000 next year.

Followers of the presumptive Democrat nominee expect she will be more critical of Israel’s war on Gaza than Biden. 

An aide to the VP said a prior commitment in Indianapolis will prevent her from attending the Israeli PM’s address to lawmakers on Wednesday. 

Harris will instead sit down with Netanyahu during his visit to Washington, the aide added - where she will put forward her view it’s time to end the war.

Britain’s MoD holds video surveillance footage of Gaza from the day that Israel killed seven international aid workers but is refusing to publish the tape - claiming its exempt from disclosure on security grounds

The footage was taken by an RAF surveillance plane - one of 200 flights from Cyprus supposedly intent on tracking down hostages.

Among those killed in the World Central Kitchen convoy on April 1 were three British military veterans: John Chapman, James Kirby and James ‘Jim’ Henderson.

Is London refusing to release the footage because the content relates to UK special forces or MI6?

🚘Porsche Scraps EV Sales Targets as Demand Slumps

⚠️ China & Japan Resume Strategic Dialogue after Four Years

Vice foreign ministers from the countries held talks Monday for the first time in four and a half years, as the countries focus on shared interests amid a host of diplomatic challenges. 

Masataka Okano and Chinese counterpart Ma Zhaoxu discussed developments in the East and South China seas as well as Ukraine during their meeting in Tokyo.

Other topics included Japan's release of treated wastewater from the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant and the detention of Japanese nationals in China.

✈️ Paris Airport Workers File Strike Motion for Olympics Opening Ceremony

A union representing workers at Paris’ two major airports has filed a strike motion for July 26, the date of the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The Force Ouvrière (FO) union – which represents 11.5% of workers at Orly and Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airports – filed the motion, which will last from 05:00 on July 26 to 07:00 on July 27.

FO wants a €300 flat bonus offered to all workers to be increased to €1,000, and for other selective bonuses to increase both in terms of payout and number of staff eligible.
