The British broadcaster will cut around 115 editorial and production roles as it battles to plug a black hole in its finances - with further job losses planned in operations depts.
The BBC had previously said it will slash roughly 500 roles by March 2026 amid wider plans to make £500mn of savings.
The latest cull comes as the BBC separately unveiled plans to invest £80mn per year as part of a fresh diversity push - to increase ethnicity, disability and socio-economic diversity.

British prosecutors have dropped sex charges against the disgraced Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein dating back almost 30 years.
The alleged assaults were said to have taken place in London in August 1996 and involved one complainant.
But following a review of the evidence in the case the CPS has now announced it has decided to discontinue criminal proceedings.

Abu Dhabi’s Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant will produce 40 terawatt-hours of electricity annually after its fourth and final reactor has entered commercial operation, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation said in a statement.
It will generate 25% of the electricity needs of the UAE – nearly the equivalent of New Zealand’s annual consumption, ENEC said.
Emirati President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed hailed Barakah’s completion as a “significant step.”
