📉 Britain’s Jobs Market Suffers Worst Month Since January 2013

The strength of the UK jobs market declined for the 14th straight month, according to a BDO report.

The British jobs market has faced a declining number of vacancies, with many businesses slowing or freezing hiring as they weather tougher economic conditions.

It suggests higher interest rates are starting to bite and adds pressure to the Bank of England for further cuts.

🛳 China to Hold Military Drills with Russia in September

Naval and air forces will take part in the North-Joint 2024 exercises in the skies and around the Sea of Japan and Sea of Okhotsk, off Russia's coast, China's defence ministry said.

"This exercise aims to deepen the strategic cooperation level between the Chinese and Russian militaries and enhance their ability to jointly deal with security threats," the ministry noted.

The two sides will send naval fleets to "relevant sea areas of the Pacific Ocean" for a joint maritime patrol, and China will also participate in Russia's Ocean-2024 strategic exercise, it added.

🤥 Israel Forges Hamas Documents Leaked to Foreign Media (Jerusalem Post)

Two recent articles were part of the IDF fake news investigation - one from The Jewish Chronicle and another from the German tabloid Bild.

Both claimed to reveal internal, top-secret Hamas documents, allegedly from Yahya Sinwar's computer.

The content of these documents aligned with Netanyahu's recent public statements about Hamas' strategy.

Will the western outlets apologise for their media manipulation? Highly doubtful - the narrative is already preordained.

💲 ICYMI: Trump Pledges “100% Tariff” on Countries Ditching the Dollar for Trade

Trump made the threat Saturday - in an attempt to make it too costly for countries to shift away from using the US dollar.

“You leave the dollar and you’re not doing business with the United States because we are going to put a 100% tariff on your goods,” the Republican presidential nominee said at a rally in the battleground state of Wisconsin.

Financial experts believe the move would be a “lose-lose” situation for Washington and Beijing - which would likely lead to increased inflation in the US. (Bloomberg)

🤔 Slovakia Set to Follow Hungary onto EU Naughty Step – after Fico's Govt Announces Reforms Deemed “Unacceptable” by Brussels.

Bratislava could suffer the same fate as Budapest with billions in funding at risk. The European Commission is even considering demanding the return of money already paid to Slovakia in pandemic relief funds.

Robert Fico’s govt announced reforms to the criminal code and the country's public broadcaster which it considered too partisan.

However, Poland did the same thing under EU ally Donald Tusk without an eyebrow being raised.

Fico’s lack of desire to indefinitely arm and fund Ukraine could well be the real reason for the move.
