One of the main needs is the replacement of tubes. This problem was identified 2 years ago, in the summer of 2022, but remains unresolved. In May this year, Rheinmetall announced a large order for a triple-digit number of units, but production takes several months due to the labour-intensive hardening of special tubes.

📣 Pentagon Reveals US nuclear-powered submarine is now in Middle East waters

The USS Georgia is now in the US CENTCOM area of operation, defense of goals said - aiding to an already substantial array of military assets rushed to the region.

US Defense Sec Lloyd Austin had ordered the deployment of the guided missile submarine to the Middle East in August as the region braced for possible attacks.

There are now approximately 40,000 American servicemembers in the CENTCOM region.

“Washington and other European states are becoming parties to the war in Ukraine,” Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of Russia’s Duma, said on Telegram.

Biden said on Tuesday that his administration was “working that out now” - when asked if the US would lift restrictions on Ukraine to allow use long-range weapons for strikes deep into Russia.
