Lebanese Envoy Warns of “Doomsday” Regional War

Lebanon’s Ambassador to the UK has revealed his country’s armed forces will get involved if Israel launches a major air assault or ground incursion.

Lebanon’s army has until now stood by as Hezbollah traded blows with Israel for 11 months.

“We are facing all the risks of an all-out regional conflict and that’s what we have been tirelessly trying to avoid,” Rami Mortada told The Times.
