🇨🇺 Cuba officially applies for BRICS partner status

The Cuban government has made an official request to join the BRICS bloc as a partner country in a letter to President Putin, since Russia currently chairs the association, Carlos Pereira, the director general of bilateral affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, said.

"Cuba has officially requested to be included in BRICS as a 'partner country' in a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is the interim chairman of the association, which is strengthening its position as a key player in global geopolitics and the hope of the Global South," Pereira said on X.

Earlier, Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel received an invitation to the BRICS summit in Kazan.

Omar Binladin - son of the former top al Qaeda terrorist - must find a new permanent home after French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau announced Tuesday he was banned from entering the country.

Binladin, who left France last year, was slapped with the restriction due to posts in 2023 which were “hosted on his social media pages” allegedly containing messages “glorifying terrorism.”

The EV’s angular design poses “unacceptably high risks” to other road users and its “sharp edges” will lead to “increased rates of injury and death.”

Campaigners, including the European Transport Safety Council and European Cyclists’ Federation, urged officials to “suspend the Cybertruck’s access to public streets” in the EU.

😢Sky News Finally Investigates Slaughter of Palestinian Family Fleeing Fighting in Gaza

A six-year-old was found dead, along with several of her relatives and two paramedics who tried to save her, after they came under fire from tanks back in January.

Israel denied its military was in the area, but a Sky News investigation found evidence – posted by the IDF itself before being deleted - that proved otherwise.

Audio recordings of calls between the child and emergency call operators show the six-year-old was the only one left alive in the car, hiding from Israeli forces among the bodies of her relatives.

Her heartbreaking pleas for someone to rescue her ended when the phone line was cut amid the sound of more gunfire.

Her name was Hind Rajab.
