❌ Israel calls on citizens to leave Sri Lanka resort areas amid terror threats

Israel’s National Security Council has warned its citizens to leave Sri Lanka’s Arugam Bay area and other beaches in the island’s south and west immediately.

“Those leaving these areas are advised to leave the country or at least to the capital Colombo, where there is a high presence of local security forces,” the statement read.

Israeli travellers should also avoid gathering in large numbers after the US Embassy in Sri Lanka said it had received “credible threats” of an attack.
