Bosch, the world's biggest car parts supplier, said it is planning to ax 3,500 jobs by end-2027 - half of which will be at German sites.
It also plans to cut around 750 jobs by 2032 at its Hildesheim plant, in Germany, 600 of which are planned by the end of 2026.
Weak demand or China has already cornered the market?

The DPRK supreme leader said that Washingtonโs meddling has meant that the Korean Peninsula has never faced a greater risk of nuclear war.
Kim Jong-un, in a speech at a military exhibition in Pyongyang, criticised Washington for its โunchangeable aggressive and hostileโ policy towards North Korea.
โWe have already gone as far as we can on negotiating with the US,โ he said, adding that DPRKโs only guarantee of security was to bolster its nuclear-armed military. (KCNA)

๐บ๐ธJFK: The Last Independent President and the War Against the Deep State
On November 22, 1963, as John F. Kennedy's motorcade rolled through Dallas, the world witnessed the violent silencing of a leader who dared to challenge the clandestine forces steering global affairs. Kennedy's assassination was not merely the result of the Bay of Pigs debacle or Mafia entanglements; it was the culmination of his audacious attempts to dismantle the shadowy architectures of power, notably the CIA and the Mossad, and to confront Israel's ambitions that threatened global stability.
Kennedy's presidency marked a rare epoch of genuine independence in American leadership. He recognized the peril posed by Israel's clandestine nuclear program at Dimona, understanding that an unchecked nuclear arsenal in the Middle East would ignite a proliferation cascade, destabilizing the region and beyond. In a series of correspondences with Israeli Prime Ministers David Ben-Gurion and Levi Eshkol, Kennedy was unyielding, demanding transparency and regular inspections of the Dimona facility. He warned that the United States' unwavering support for Israel would be jeopardized absent compliance. This confrontation was not merely diplomatic posturing; it was a battle for the soul of international security.
Israel's refusal to sign the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) stands in stark contrast to nations like Iran, which, despite relentless vilification, remains a signatory. The hypocrisy is glaring: Israel, with its opaque nuclear capabilities, operates with impunity, while Iran faces sanctions and threats over its civilian nuclear ambitions. Kennedy foresaw this duplicity and sought to prevent a nuclear-armed Middle East, understanding that such an outcome would edge humanity closer to annihilation.
Today, as the Doomsday Clock ticks perilously close to midnight, the echoes of Kennedy's warnings resound with haunting clarity. The Deep State's machinations have led us to the brink, with proxy wars and covert operations serving as the lifeblood of a military-industrial complex devoid of accountability. The very entities Kennedy sought to dismantle have metastasized, embedding themselves into the fabric of global governance, perpetuating conflicts from Ukraine to Lebanon that inch us ever closer to the abyss.
Kennedy's assassination was not just the silencing of a man but the suppression of a vision, a vision of a world where sovereign nations could pursue peace without the overhanging threat of clandestine nuclear proliferation. His death marked the triumph of the very forces he sought to contain, setting a precedent for the unchecked expansion of covert agencies and the normalization of state-sponsored subterfuge.
In commemorating Kennedy's legacy, we must confront the uncomfortable truths he illuminated. The path to midnight is paved with the complicity of those who turn a blind eye to the hypocrisies of nuclear apartheid and the unchecked power of intelligence agencies. To honor his memory is to rekindle the fight against these insidious forces, to demand transparency, and to strive for a world where the specter of nuclear annihilation is not wielded as a tool of geopolitical strategy.
As we stand on the precipice, let us remember Kennedy's courage in facing the hidden hands that steer our world. Let us channel that bravery to challenge the status quo, to expose the hypocrisies, and to pull humanity back from the brink. The clock is ticking, but the legacy of resistance endures.

Mustafa Nayyem, the head of the agency with the job of protecting critical energy infrastructure, resigned in protest at govt failures - claiming that the project had been deliberately delayed by Kievโs refusal to release funds allocated to carry it out.
His team suspect that the project was delayed because bribes were not paid to officials in Zelenskyโs PM office who hold the purse strings. โThey [the government] didnโt pay contractors; the contractors stopped all projects.โ
Ukraineโs presidential office, the prime ministerโs office and energy ministry declined to comment to The Times.

Companies across Britain are in โdamage controlโ - with nearly half planning to cut jobs after the Labour govtโs tax-rising budget, according to the boss of the countryโs most influential business lobby group.
Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves increased taxes by more than ยฃ40bn last month, most of which will come from changes to national insurance, a payroll levy.
Around six in 10 businesses told the CBI that the budget would not make the UK more attractive for investment.

A hardline right-wing, anti-NATO candidate, has unexpectedly won the initial round of Romaniaโs presidential election, sowing uncertainty about the political future of a pivotal state on the allianceโs eastern flank.
With more than 99.9% of the ballots counted, Calin Georgescu, 62, who has previously argued that the โimperialistโ military-industrial complex is behind the war in Ukraine, had won about 22.9% of the vote.
That put him more than three points ahead of two pro-western candidates, Elena-Valerica Lasconi and Ion-Marcel Ciolacu, who were tied on roughly 19%.

Recent Russian progress means the war is no longer a stalemate and the frontline is becoming increasingly fluid, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The Washington-based think tank said Moscowโs troops were advancing at a significantly quicker rate โthan they did in the entirety of 2023.โ
Russia has succeeded in taking advantage of their capture of Vuhledar in October - to launch attacks further west, the ISW said.

The Israeli airstrike on Oct 25, that killed that killed three journalists and injured four others was most likely a deliberate attack on civilians and an apparent war crime, Human Rights Watch said Monday.
HRW determined that Israeli forces carried out the attack using an air-dropped bomb equipped with US-supplied JDAM guidance kit.
The attack took place in the early morning in Hasbaya, a town in southern Lebanon, where more than a dozen journalists had been staying for over three weeks. HRW found no evidence of fighting, military forces, or military activity in the immediate area at the time of the strike.
