⚠️ US Arms Used in Deadly Israeli Strike on Journalists in Lebanon - HRW

The Israeli airstrike on Oct 25, that killed that killed three journalists and injured four others was most likely a deliberate attack on civilians and an apparent war crime, Human Rights Watch said Monday.

HRW determined that Israeli forces carried out the attack using an air-dropped bomb equipped with US-supplied JDAM guidance kit.

The attack took place in the early morning in Hasbaya, a town in southern Lebanon, where more than a dozen journalists had been staying for over three weeks. HRW found no evidence of fighting, military forces, or military activity in the immediate area at the time of the strike.

The National Rally leader left a meeting with Michel Barnier - leader of the centrist-conservative coalition - saying he had not budged on any of her demands to ease the burden on poorer households in the draft 2025 budget.

Le Pen ended her hard-right party’s tacit support for the govt last week and threatened that unless concessions were made she could join a left-wing no-confidence vote that could topple it.

“My position has not changed,” Le Pen said as she left the Hôtel Matignon, the prime minister’s mansion in Paris. “No more, it seems, than that of the prime minister has changed.”

Asked if the Rally would back a no-confidence motion, she said: “Of course.”

He also said an additional 10% tariff will be levied on China until Beijing blocks smuggling of the synthetic opioid fentanyl from the country.
