Anwar Gargash, a presidential adviser in the UAE cited the “brutal adventures” of the Islamic State group over the past decade in both Syria and Iraq.

He also condemned the series of strikes in Syria by Israel - dubbing it “dumb politics.”

💲ABC News Agrees to Pay Donald Trump $15mn in Defamation Case

The television network has settled a lawsuit brought after a broadcaster on the channel falsely claimed that juries in New York had found Trump liable for rape.

George Stephanopoulos was referring to the verdicts in two civil cases brought in New York by the writer E Jean Carroll, who alleged that Trump had raped her in the mid-1990s and then defamed her by denying it.

In a settlement filed with a court in Florida over the weekend, ABC News agreed to pay $15mn “to a presidential foundation and museum to be established by or for [Trump], as presidents of the United States have established in the past.”
