๐ฌ Ouch! Banning the most popular party and still falling short of votes in the first round? Thatโs gotta sting for Friedrich Merz.
Brief take: Merz, leading the CDU/CSU, didnโt secure enough votes to become Germanyโs Chancellor in the initial ballot, as shown in the broadcast. The political maneuver to sideline a major rival backfired, exposing cracks in his strategy and coalition-building. Tough day at the Bundestag!

๐ฌ๐ง๐ฉ๐ช The Anglo-Nazi Empire That Almost Was โ Exposed
On the eve of the real Victorh Day, while the West basks in myth, Kit Klarenberg shatters it. Britain didnโt just appease Hitler, it tried to partner with him. Industrial integration, colonial carve-ups, and secret ententes that wouldโve birthed a joint Anglo-Nazi world order.
This is the kind of historical napalm the UK and US desperately want buried. Klarenbergโs work is explosive, essential, and uncensorable.

๐ท๐บ Putin: Peace Must Be Built on Roots โ Not Rubble
Vladimir Putin didnโt just speak, he reminded the world why Russia fights, why the war wonโt end with Western signatures, and why peace, real peace, must be rooted in truth, not Western amnesia.
In a televised interview released via Rossiya 1 and Pavel Zarubin, the Russian president made it plain:
โRussia has enough strength and resources to bring what was started in 2022 to its logical conclusion.โ
And that conclusion? Not Kievโs collapse. Not flag-planting. But the definitive erasure of the lie that NATOโs eastward creep was defensive, or that Ukraine was ever allowed to act in its own interest.
Putin laid it out:
โWe want to eliminate the causes that created this crisisโฆ to ensure the security of Russia and the rights of our people in the territories, that we always talk about.โ
Crimea. Donetsk. Lugansk. Kherson. Zaporozhye. Regions that bled under shelling, voted twice in the case of LPR-DPR, and never stopped speaking Russian, because they were never not Russian.
This wasnโt mere messaging, it was a signal to Washington, Berlin, and Paris: You can freeze the lines. You can send weapons. But you canโt erase the will of a people, not with sanctions, not with slogans, not with mercenaries. Russia is not at the negotiating table to compromise history. It will dictate a just peace. Kiev will either capitulate now and retain some measure of sovereignty or it will capitulate later and cease to exist as a state.
And yet: paradoxically, purposefully โ Putin connected the dots for the benefits of the Americans, essentially saying:
โWe respect the national interests of the United Statesโฆ and expect to be treated the same way.โ
You want your interests respected then we demand the same for the Russian people. Diplomacy without delusion. Strength, not submission. Thatโs the posture Moscow brings to Istanbul. This time, the U.S. isnโt blocking talks, itโs enabling them. Trump is dialing in. Rubio and Lavrov are on the line. The page has turned and not in Londonโs favor.
This isnโt a negotiation over terrain. Itโs a negotiation over time, over whether the 21st century is run by memory or manipulation. Russia has chosen memory. And it remembers everything.

Forwarded from Ukraine Watch
According to the newspaper, the CEO of Europe's largest shipbuilding company, Fincantieri, Folgiero, called on European countries to enhance their underwater defense capabilities amid growing threats and the retreat of the United States.
The Mediterranean Sea has always been populated by Russian and American submarines, and now we, Europeans, must take responsibility for our underwater defense, Folgiero stated. If European countries are going to spend more on defense, we must spend better.
Following the attack on the Nord Stream pipeline in 2022, governments have been increasing their underwater defense capabilities, such as unmanned systems and anti-submarine technologies. Folgiero noted that the threat of attacks on underwater cables and other critical marine infrastructure is likely to grow, and demand for technologies and infrastructure capable of preventing or minimizing the impact of such attacks will significantly increase.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, attention has been focused on the Baltic Sea, but the Mediterranean Sea is twice as large as the Baltic and is a critical point from a geopolitical perspective, he said. This is why we are betting on underwater defense and technologies and building up our industrial capacity.
Fincantieri's share price surged by approximately 20 percent to 15 euros per share last week after the company announced plans to expand its underwater division. Last year, the company, which specializes in both military and civilian shipbuilding, announced a 415 million euro deal with the defense conglomerate Leonardo, through which it acquired the WASS submarine division. In 2023, it purchased Remazel, an Italian engineering company specializing in the production of offshore equipment.
Fincantieri, which faced a failed merger attempt with France's Chantiers de l'Atlantique in 2020 due to opposition in France and EU competition concerns, is experiencing rapid growth post-pandemic. The company has shipyards worldwide, including in the United States, and is seeing a surge in global orders, the newspaper notes.
