In 2023, the U.S. federal government collected approximately $4.44 trillion in total revenue (FRED St. Louis Fed).

The majority of this income came from individual income taxes, corporate taxes, and payroll taxes for Social Security and Medicare.

As of Q2 2024, the U.S. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is approximately $29.02 trillion.

This reflects a 1.37% increase from the previous quarter and a 5.69% rise compared to the same period a year ago.

The current trajectory of the U.S. federal budget, with rising interest rates and increasing debt levels, is concerning.

As the federal government collected $4.44 trillion in 2023, interest payments are already taking up a significant portion of this revenue.

Higher interest rates mean the cost of servicing the national debt will grow rapidly, potentially consuming more of the government's budget. This leaves less room for critical spending on infrastructure, defense, and social programs, exacerbating the deficit.

With a national debt exceeding $33 trillion, even a modest rise in interest rates will dramatically increase the amount the government has to pay in interest.

This, in turn, reduces the ability to finance essential services without resorting to further borrowing, creating a cycle of dependency on debt.

Federal expenditures continue to outpace revenues, and the annual deficits deepen the problem, driving more borrowing and increasing the debt burden further.

If this trend continues, the sustainability of the U.S. financial system becomes questionable. The government will face tough choices in managing its budget, including potential tax increases or spending cuts. Without addressing the imbalance, the increasing cost of servicing debt will place enormous pressure on the U.S. economy, potentially forcing drastic fiscal measures in the near future.

A small, limited government is not only necessary—it is the only moral form of governance. Government's sole purpose should be to protect individual rights and ensure that justice is upheld. It exists to provide essential services such as national defense, the protection of property, and the enforcement of contracts.

Beyond that, any further intrusion by the state represents an overreach, one that curtails the freedom and creativity of individuals. A limited government allows individuals to act in their rational self-interest, to pursue their goals unimpeded by the weight of bureaucracy, taxes, and regulations. It enables the creators, the builders, and the thinkers to flourish—those upon whom civilization depends.

The welfare state, by contrast, represents the moral and economic rot of collectivism. It institutionalizes the redistribution of wealth by force, punishing productivity and rewarding dependency.

The welfare state breeds entitlement, encouraging people to take without producing, to demand without creating. Over time, this parasitic relationship between the productive and the unproductive leads to collapse. As the government grows to provide more 'benefits,' it must seize more resources from those who generate value.

The result is a vicious cycle: more taxation, more control, less freedom, and eventually, the exhaustion of the nation's wealth.

When a society replaces individual responsibility with state handouts, it loses the very foundation upon which progress is built.

Innovation is stifled, ambition is crushed, and the engines of growth grind to a halt. The welfare state fosters mediocrity, while a limited government creates an environment where excellence can thrive. In the end, a welfare state cannot be sustained, for it relies on the destruction of its most productive citizens.

It is not just an economic failure—it is a moral atrocity. True progress, true human flourishing, is only possible when individuals are free to act and succeed based on their own effort and merit, without the interference of an overbearing state.

Today, I want to talk to you about something deeply important, something that stands at the heart of who we are as individuals and as a nation: the idea of freedom and the power of the individual.

Throughout history, we’ve seen the struggle between the individual and the collective, between those who seek to build and create, and those who seek to take and control.

And today, in the world of technology and innovation, we see that same struggle playing out.

There’s a growing chorus out there claiming We are all Satoshi.

They say Bitcoin belongs to everyone, that it’s a gift to the masses, something that no one can own.

But let me tell you, Satoshi never said that. Not once did Satoshi declare, This is yours.

Satoshi never said, I give this to you as a gift.

No, those who are claiming this now are not honoring Bitcoin’s principles—they’re twisting them. And when they say, This is ours, when they push this idea of collective ownership, they’re not receiving something given to them.

They’re taking it.

And that’s theft.

It’s the very antithesis of everything Bitcoin stands for.

Bitcoin wasn’t created for the masses to rise up as a mob and seize power.

It was created as a tool of freedom, for the individual, by the individual.

It’s about responsibility, accountability, and ownership. It’s about the right to create, to build, and to own what you’ve worked for. And those who are now trying to hijack that idea, who claim that Bitcoin belongs to all, are doing so for one reason: power.

They want control over you, over me, and over the very essence of what it means to be free.

This is the same struggle we’ve faced before. Whether it’s in economics, politics, or now technology, there are always those who will try to crush the individual under the weight of the collective.

They will tell you it’s for your own good, that it’s about fairness, that it’s about equality. But what they’re really after is power—power that comes from controlling the masses, from silencing the voice of the individual.

But freedom doesn’t come from the mob.

Freedom comes from the individual.

It comes from the ability to create, to innovate, and to own what’s yours.

That’s what Bitcoin was meant to represent.

It was never about giving up control to some collective. It was about empowering each and every one of us to take control of our own lives, our own futures, and our own property.

Let’s be clear: when people claim that Bitcoin is a gift to the masses, they are not freeing you—they are binding you.

They are seeking to take away the very principles of ownership and responsibility that make Bitcoin, and indeed freedom itself, what it is.

And we must not let them succeed. We must stand for the individual. We must stand for freedom.

Satoshi created something revolutionary—not because it was meant to be owned by everyone, but because it was meant to empower the individual.

And as we move forward, we need to remember that freedom and individuality go hand in hand. You cannot have one without the other.

Those who seek to take from you, to claim what is yours, are not working for your freedom. They’re working for control.

So, my fellow citizens, let’s reject the calls for collectivism, for this false idea that We are all Satoshi.

Let’s stand firm in the belief that true freedom comes from the individual—responsible, accountable, and proud.

Let’s protect the right to create, to build, to own, and to be free.

Bitcoin is fundamentally different from a gold standard.

The gold standard was centralized, controlled by governments that could always manipulate the flow of gold.

They had the power to restrict it, to limit its movement across borders, and ultimately, to control the monetary supply.

Today, people smuggle gold because it’s a cumbersome and difficult asset to move.

Real gold is bound to the earth—it’s fixed in place. You can’t just take it with you as you leave a country; it doesn’t flow easily.
Bitcoin, (not BTC) on the other hand, allows something far more powerful—it enables capital flight, free movement of currency across borders, and a fluidity that terrifies central banks.

Bitcoin, when functioning as a true base layer, can always be traded and moved.

No government can stop it from flowing. This is what makes it so radically different, and this is what truly scares the central banks.

It Is not just some "digital gold."

Real gold, with all its weight, can never be sent through telephone wires.

But Bitcoin, this decentralized, distributrd, SPV person to person network, can travel with you. It follows no physical borders and can be moved without restriction.
The problem with BTC is tdevelopershat it no longer serves this purpose. BTC is something for the elites, a tool for those in power to continue exerting control.

It only works when developers and central authorities can’t alter the system, but BTC has been compromised by changes that reflect centralised control.

Bitcoin, in its true form, is freedom—it’s unchangeable and untouchable, unlike the centralised, manipulated systems of the past.

MicroStrategy’s job posting for a "Bitcoin Advocacy Manager" stands as a prime example of what Harry Frankfurt, in his seminal work On Bullshit, describes as the phenomenon of bullshitting — a discourse unconcerned with truth, but rather with producing a desired effect.

The language of the post suggests that the role is not so much about understanding or respecting the truth of Bitcoin but about the manipulation of perception.

The phrase “Bitcoin Advocacy Manager” itself reveals the essence of the job.

Advocacy, in this context, is not the pursuit of objective facts but the selling of a narrative.

The goal here is clear: to manage opinions and generate enthusiasm regardless of whether what is said aligns with reality. In fact, the term “advocacy” signals a detachment from truth-seeking, positioning the role as one that demands the employee say whatever is necessary to promote an agenda.
Consider how they boast, “We don’t just follow trends — we set them and drive change.”

This is not a statement grounded in any quantifiable truth but rather an unsubstantiated declaration designed to provoke confidence.

Frankfurt would argue that this is where bullshit thrives — the speaker isn’t lying because they aren’t concerned with whether their statement is true or false; their focus is on the effect their words produce.

What matters is not reality, but the perception that they are leading innovation, that their involvement in Bitcoin is progressive and transformative.

The entire premise of this job is built on the notion that Bitcoin — or more precisely their version of Bitcoin — requires someone to sell it, to advocate for it, regardless of the underlying complexities or any inconvenient truths.

The Bitcoin Advocacy Manager doesn’t need to engage with difficult questions about the sustainability or validity of certain blockchain models, let alone BSV’s own merits or failings.

Instead, their task is to perpetuate enthusiasm, to sustain belief, to smooth over any fractures in logic or reality with the glossy sheen of 'advocacy'.
In essence, what this role truly requires is someone who, like the bullshitter Frankfurt describes, “does not care whether the things he says describe reality correctly.”

It asks for someone willing to say anything as long as it furthers the company’s narrative.

Truth, in this scenario, becomes secondary to the function of persuasion — which is, quintessentially, bullshit

And then you wake up from your wet dream to realise that BTC isn’t Bitcoin, and it sure as hell doesn’t work as digital cash, let alone as money. All that fantasy about replacing fiat, saving the world, or whatever... it falls apart the moment you try to actually use it. The whole narrative gets thrown out the window when you see BTC’s sluggish, clunky mess of a system, pretending to be something it’s not.

Bitcoin, as designed, was digital cash—small payments, scalability, something that could actually work. What we got with BTC? A broken system that can’t even handle basic transactions without grinding to a halt. So, wake up, wipe the warm sticky delusion off your face, and take a hard look at reality.

Skeptic? Come on, everyone’s the Queen of England now, apparently. Let’s get this straight: Len Sassaman hated Bitcoin. This wasn’t some mild skepticism or casual critique. He flat out called it "bunk" and "overhyped." If you're still pushing the idea that he’s Satoshi, you’ve really missed the plot. He wasn’t building a revolution; he was trashing it.

And let’s clear up another thing—Len wanted anonymity, not privacy. Stop confounding these concepts. Anonymity means you can’t be traced; privacy is about controlling access to your personal data. These are worlds apart. Len wasn’t looking for privacy, he wanted to vanish, to not exist in the system. It’s ironic people still try to drag him into the Bitcoin narrative when he clearly despised it.

Y aclaremos otra cosa: Len quería anonimato, no privacidad.

Wrong again. There’s no cryptography, no encryption in Bitcoin, none of that. It’s ECDSA, a digital signature algorithm, plain and simple. Everything’s in plain text. Yet people keep screwing this up like it’s some mystery. No encryption in Bitcoin, never was. You’d think by now they’d get it, but nah, they just keep running in circles, missing the point.

Bitcoin’s security fundamentally stems from game-theoretic economic incentives, not from cryptographic primitives alone.

Miners and nodes are economically motivated to follow the rules because the system rewards fair behavior and penalizes deviations. The digital signatures you mention verify transactions, but they do not secure the system. The true strength of Bitcoin lies in the competitive nature of its network: miners invest in resources to gain rewards, and any attempt to alter transactions or break consensus would result in financial losses.

As Bitcoin scales, the economic incentives become even more pronounced. It is not about cryptography protecting values or balances; it’s about creating a system where no participant gains from acting maliciously.

Changing the rules or attacking the network becomes unprofitable, ensuring stability. The balance of incentives is what secures the network, not cryptographic obscurity or digital signatures alone.
